Position Overview:


As an Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing complex data, assessing risks, and providing valuable insights to aid in the development and implementation of strategic plans.

Your expertise in actuarial science, combined with your strong analytical and problem-solving skills, will be instrumental in driving informed business decisions.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, sales, and regulatory affairs, to ensure optimal pricing, sales, forecasting, and risk management practices.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed actuarial analyses to assess risk exposure and evaluate financial implications for various projects, products, and business initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain actuarial models and methodologies to support financial forecasting, sales strategies, and profitability assessments.
  • Evaluate and analyse large data sets using statistical techniques and actuarial principles to derive meaningful insights and identify trends.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and changes in actuarial methodologies to ensure compliance and accurate risk assessments.
  • Support the development and implementation of actuarial policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, and performance indicators to facilitate sound financial decisionmaking.
  • Utilize SQL and other relevant tools to extract, manipulate, and analyse data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • BSc: Actuarial Science Degree (Essential)
  • Completion of at least 8 Fellowship examinations with a recognized actuarial society or organization.
  • 1 to 4 years of relevant work experience in an actuarial or related analytical role.
  • Strong proficiency in actuarial concepts, methodologies, and statistical modelling techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other database query languages, with the ability to extract and analyse data from databases (preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of Excel and statistical software packages (e.g., R, Python, SAS) for data analysis and modelling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and its regulatory environment is a plus.
