The Head Office of MRoA is in Johannesburg, with a client service Life office situated in Cape Town.**

This technical IFRS17 position is available within our Corporate Non-Life Actuarial Business Unit and reports into the Operational Manager for Non-Life Actuarial.

**Your Job**:

- Part of the team responsible for the local implementation of IFRS 17: (Challenging results and drivers, assessing adherence to the Standard and deriving input assumptions)
- Reserving for the Munich Re Group Sub-Saharan non-life multiline book
- Preparation of quarterly and annual reserving processes and results
- Analysis of the performance of non-life business
- Statutory reporting (non-life), including SAM and Solvency II
- Modelling of forecast capital positions and business scenarios
- Assisting business with large deals and ad hoc requests

**Your Profile**:

- Familiarity with non-life IFRS 17.
- SAM experience advantageous.
- Reinsurance work experience advantageous.
- At least 2 years of non-life insurance experience.
- Advanced Excel (including VBA) and Power BI skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to consistently produce high quality output with little guidance or supervision.
- Actuarial Degree with Honours.
- Good progress towards qualification.
