Mid-weight Traffic Manager: In-house:

A renowned gaming and entertainment company (part of an international Group) has an excellent on-site opportunity for a Mid-weight Traffic Manager to traffic the Marketing Creative team at their HQ in Cape Town’s CBD.
As Traffic Manager you will be the point of contact for incoming Marketing projects, work requests, and briefs from both within the business (and the greater Group), which you will translate into clear Marketing briefs. You will be responsible for the recording, tracking and delivery of multiple project plans, content coordination, quality assurance, and project support. You will achieve this in line with deadlines and brand and company quality standards, ensuring the seamless implementation and consistent delivery provided by the Marketing Creative team in line with briefs.
The Traffic Manager manages the traffic requests and delivery of creative design products by the internal creative team. You will also serve as the custodian of the Project Management platform (Asana) for the Marketing team.
**Responsibilities**:
Traffic Management
- Be the point of contact for the creative team and receive and channel traffic flow requests from within the business, and the greater group
- Translation of requests into useable marketing briefs and booking / allocation of all related tasks into a project management platform (e.g., Asana)
- Keep up to date records and a daily status update of all requests / projects received by the department, as well as agreed deadlines
- Develop project plans / calendars and compile, track and manage timelines, plans for various projects, in consultation with various team members
- Review templates / content briefs from the business units to ensure quality standards and all relevant fields are completed and assist in completion of briefs where required
- Allocate briefs to relevant team members
- Coordinate, allocate and manage resources and prioritisation of jobs.
- Compile campaign plans and deliverables with timelines and activities
- Monitoring project statuses and deadlines
- Monitoring tracked time and utilisation rates
- Planning and forecasting upcoming projects
- Facilitates and escalate requests and obtains approval that exceed agreed terms when required
- Follows-through on progress with relevant stakeholder to ensure timeous delivery in line with agreed SLA
- Keeps relevant stakeholders up to date and is quick to alert stakeholders and / or team members should problems arise
- Set up reviews and ensure relevant stakeholders are available to attend
- Develops and sustains strong professional relationships with key internal customers as well as external suppliers
- Where external agencies form part of the project, e.g., aspects are outsourced to freelancers or agencies, manage the flow of briefs and incoming work according to agreed briefs and deadlines.
Content Management & Quality Assurance
- Manage the production of creative content against brief and timelines
- Coordinate and quality assure content
- Manage and quality assure content before presentation to clients
- Manage the relationship with the support team around any obstacles, challenges, or delays
- Ability to compile content calendars or assist the team in documenting / creating them.
Project Support
- Act as a resource on special projects and provide project support as required by the marketing team
- Project coordination / project management from inception to completion
- Works closely with printers around planning to ensure that creative concepts are ready for production
- Works closely with creative team to ensure the preparation of final materials for publication
- Provide input at weekly meetings and compile minutes to record deliverables by each accounts manager
- Follow-up on outstanding work required to deliver the SLA
- Creates and documents marketing services processes and communicates with other teams in the Group, including SOPs, templates, FAQs
- Liaise with external stakeholders where marketing team holders require more information
- Holding daily and weekly project status meetings to share progress and updates.
**Requirements**:
- 3-Year Degree / Diploma in marketing, communications or journalism is preferable
- At least 5 years’ experience in running projects and traffic management in the creative industry
- Advertising agency experience - essential
- Assertive, level-headed, calm, and presentable individual
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of Asana or similar tool
- Project and workflow coordination skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database software
