Our Client, a leader in the Retail Industry, is seeking to employ an experienced Receiving Supervisor to join their dynamic team. Applicants must reside in Pietermaritzburg.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
Educate colleagues and associated individuals on the care and preservation of items received, and methods and use of operating equipment.
Train colleagues and associated individuals to handle, sort, and maintain stock.
Review records for information accuracy and compliance with established Client procedures.
Determine work procedures aligned to Client requirements, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
Provide written and oral instructions and improve the efficiency of receiving by colleagues and associated individuals.
Assign duties and assess work for preciseness, neatness, and conformance to Client policies and procedures.
Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
Ensure Quality Assurance procedures for inbound shipments are being followed.
Evaluate reports and respond to quality issues with colleagues and associated individuals.
Ensure to safe-keep of company funds and property.
Ensure personnel practices are successfully executed.
Ensure that security, including access control and record-keeping procedures, are adhered to.
Supervise compliance of receiving practices with established Client policies and standards.
Conduct and attend to stores’ general Receiving - regular maintenance.
Maintain an orderly and neat stock and Receiving area.
Interact with central distribution and the Client inventory control department.
Assist in solving problems and make informed decisions affecting service and productivity of the Receiving area.
**Desired Experience & Qualification**
Grade 12 (Twelve) qualification is essential.
Perform well under pressure.
Have excellent attention to detail.
Punctual.
Clear criminal record.
