Field Application Specialist will join a diverse team and support pre
- within the Microbiology (MBD) Industrial market, including Food, Pharmaceutical, Cosmetic and Environmental segments.
- for the Sub-Saharan African region (English-speaking countries).
- to Channel Partners and direct customers.

**Main responsibilities**

A Field Application specialist will:

- Organize and/or provide workflow and product training, including new Instrument installation training.
- Investigate product performance Customer Complaints, Control Product Recalls and Product Notifications, together with the Commercial team, Customer Service and Quality departments, and source.
- Give expert support to all qualified sales situations, including, product demonstrations either in the customers’ lab or in SDG demo lab, management of any trials or evaluations, and presentations at seminars and symposia.

This position is partially field-based, full-time permanent role and with occasional travel within SSA and other regions as per the demands of the role and MBD Strategy.

**Education**

**Experience**
- Demonstrated ability in experience in Industrial Microbiology industry.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- Able to operate both independently and within a team context, demonstrating initiative and sound business judgement.
- Show strong interpersonal and time leadership skills.
- Intimate knowledge of markets related to the industry.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
