**The Role**
- To support the Saint-Gobain business units’s strategy and objectives through practical demonstrations & training. Systems and products test installations, to provide quality products and services to the customers, problems solving, helping to understand & resolve customer complaints. The focus is to support across Gyproc, Isover Weber & Ecophon (GIMC).

**Requirements** Qualifications required to fulfil the role**
- Matric/Grade 12.
- Any construction related qualification would be beneficial.
- Any building science or construction qualification will be advantageous.

**Specific Work Experience, Knowledge and Skills required to fulfil the role**
- 3 years working with gypsum, mortears(tiling) and shopfitting industries.
- Carpentry would be advantageous.
- 2 years in construction sites and training.
- Must be a good team player.
- Prepared to work extended hours.
- Analytical skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Code 08 License.
- Leadership orientated and passion for teamwork and collaboration.
- Pro-active demeanour.

**Additional Requirements** Key Accountabilities**
- Facilitate contractor care training across Gyproc, Isover Weber & Ecophon (GIMC) to enable them to understand the products and its applicability, keep record of the outcomes of demo and training sessions and provide the necessary reports.
- Identifying and understanding the customer concerns or problems during the practical training, and feedback to R&D; Marketing and Sales. Together with these teams brainstorm solutions to address the customers concerns.
- Responsible for evaluating customer complaints on product failures and provide a report on findings and propose improved solutions.
- Provide support to the R&D, Product team during product development by testing and providing input of the customers experience with the product to ensure that what we produce is relevant to the market..
- Assess and understand other benchmark products in the market and how they perform, and communicate with R&D; Product; Project and sales team to ensure that we are relevant and competitive in the market.
- Represent the company to its customer groups with a high degree of professionalism and technical competence, maintaining an up to date knowledge of products and systems ensuring that all administration procedures are completed promptly,accurately and to a high standard.
- Comply with customers’ site rules and practices and each demonstration, to ensure demonstrations are carried out safely for all.
- Working with other team members to develop technical skills.
- Adherence to strict ethical codes of conduct to develop technical skills.
- Adherence to company reporting/ commercial admin systems, offering appropriate feedback and information.
- All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required.
- As required, duties and/or tasks related to building, testing, demonstrating on ceiling, drywall and mortars(tiling), & pools. Essentially ensuring support across Gyproc, Isover Weber & Ecophon (GIMC) as this role is located with the “Saint-Gobain Africa” Technical support team.
- This scope will expand as “Saint-Gobain Africa” expands is BU footprint/offering.
