Recruiting and Training permanent and casual staff ;
- Organising, leading and motivating the catering team ;
- Planning staff shifts and rotas;
- Managing the food and beverage provision for functions and events;
- Supervising catering and waiting staff at functions;
- Budgeting and establishing financial targets and forecasts;
- Monitoring the quality of the product and service provided;
- Keeping financial and administrative records;
- Responsible for the efficient control and handling of goods in the store room

and fridges.
- Liaising with suppliers and clients;
- Ensuring compliance with all fire, licensing, and employment regulations;
- Maximising sales and meeting profit and financial expectations.
- Planning menus in consultation with chefs;
- Ensuring health and safety regulations are strictly observed;
- Managing the payroll and monitoring spending levels;
- Maintaining stock levels and ordering new supplies as required;
- Interacting with customers if involved with front of house work;
- Dealing with staffing and client issues;
- Keeping abreast of trends and developments in the industry, such as menus,

trends in consumer tastes and management issues.
- Setting and agreeing budgets;
- Monitoring quality standards;
- Overseeing the management of facilities, e.g. checking event bookings and

allocation of resources/staff;
- Planning new promotions and initiatives, and contributing to business

development & accurate forecast of monthly and yearly expenditure.
- Planning of projects and the costs there of in alliance/oversight of operations

management.
- Planning for unforeseen re-active maintenance or emergencies.
- Grade 12
- 5 Years working experience in similar role
- Must have working experience in Catering Site Management level
- Must be presentable
- Must have good communication skills
- Must have good problem solving skills
- Must have experience in a multi-disciplined operational environment
- Good leadership and motivational skills and ability to train are advantageous
- Driver’s license
- Computer literate
- Team player

**Salary**: R400,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gauteng, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
