Off-campus House Mother

Jobs Boutique is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate House Mother to support and oversee our student accommodation. As a House Mother, you will play a vital role in ensuring the overall well-being and satisfaction of our students while maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Rental Collection: Manage and ensure timely collection of rental payments from students, maintaining accurate records of accounts.
- Building Maintenance: Oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within the accommodation, ensuring any repairs or upkeep requirements are promptly addressed.
- Student Support: Provide guidance and support to both new and returning students, assisting with any queries or concerns they may have regarding their stay.
- Marketing Initiatives: Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to attract new students, working closely with the marketing team to showcase the benefits of our student accommodation.
- Room Allocation: Effectively allocate rooms to incoming and existing students, ensuring fair and equitable distribution based on their preferences and availability.
- Key Control: Manage and keep track of all keys and access cards, ensuring strict control and security measures are in place.
- Security Management: Work closely with security personnel to monitor and maintain the safety and security of the premises, taking necessary action in case of any emergencies or incidents.
- First Aid: Possess a valid first aid certification and provide immediate assistance and support if any medical emergencies arise.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within a student accommodation or rental property setting.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and empathize with students, staff, and other stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, enabling you to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance and repairs, or the ability to quickly learn and oversee such activities.
- Familiarity with marketing principles and the ability to contribute to marketing initiatives to attract and retain students.
- Good understanding of key control and security procedures to maintain the safety and well-being of all occupants.
- First aid certification or a willingness to obtain one.
- Patience, caring, and a genuine interest in supporting and catering to student needs.
