**The role**

**My client **are looking for an ambitious senior consultant to assist with the growth of our virtual CISO, advisory and strategic services.
Primarily, this will include, but not be limited to assisting in the implementation and maturing of the following services:

- **vCISO service** - Providing organisations with experienced cyber security advisory, strategy formulation and security management services
- **Maturity Assessments**- An assessment of a client’s security posture based on relevant best practices (iso27001, NIST CSF, CIS top 18)
- **Cyber security strategy** - Services to assess the client’s current and future business strategy, assess the current security maturity and develop a security strategy based on experience and data gathered
- **Policy and procedure review and formulation**- Services to design, review, and mature client’s security related policies
- **Product improvement and innovation** - ensure products and services remain relevant based on new standards and best practices

The balance of your time will be spent on service development, research, and sales support. Your utilisation target will reduce as the team expands and is able to support a lowered target.
**Education & Experience**
- Sc. IT or Security/B. Com IT/ MBA Advantageous or relevant experience
- Security certificates such as CISSP or CISM will be beneficial
- Consulting experience
- Ability to lead consultancy teams
- ISO 27000 series implementation experience
- Track record in providing sales support
- Good understanding of risk, regulatory and compliance
- Experience with Data protection (discovery and classification) processes is desired
- Is an excellent written and verbal communicator
- Has a growth mindset, understanding what is required to grow and build client-facing, revenue earning services
- Has a detailed understanding of current cyber risks, regulatory and compliance requirements of varying industries
- Has the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Is a strong team player

**Your responsibilities**
- Work through current assessment practices and be able to assess organisations and report back findings to clients
- Identify and drive improvements to the assessments and processes within the assessment and compliance space
- Work with the clients to identify areas of improvement in their cyber security maturity and drive the maturity with the client over time - Project manage and advise of methods and best practices for implementing change.
- Deliver commodity pentest work whilst the strategic pipeline is built
- Act as an internal advisor to other team members/consultants and clients
- Provide specific consulting to clients as agreed in the client’s brief - providing general guidance to proactively protect the integrity, confidentiality and availability of information by ensuring appropriate security controls are in existence and enforced.
- Provide specific consulting services in the areas of data access control and privacy, liaising with third parties, including legal requirements.
- Implement effective frameworks for data classification/discovery data lifecycle management and data protection.
- Design key indicators/controls frameworks for continuously monitoring organisation’s compliance to local and global regulations.
- Design and support execution of Data Privacy awareness training and educational activities as required.
- Liaise with third parties, where necessary, to provide required security services to the customer. Acts as an ISO or CISO at customers when requested.
- Travel may be required from time to time to the US and UK, as well as regionally within Southern Africa
