Digital Campaign Specialist

Key purpose of the role
The role requires an analytical approach that seeks to increase our performance across our digital properties: paid social media and our brand properties through a critical evaluation of past performance, informing the future strategy and approach for digitally led campaigns and promotions. The role will work closely with both the digital creative teams and the digital product team. To be accountable for the planning, running, and evaluating of digital media campaigns for both our internal and client campaigns, as well as the evaluation of the performance of our brand properties
Key outputs/ accountability
Manage and optimisation of campaigns
Oversee Digital Media Campaigns in Digital Ad ops and campaign setup.
Ensure campaigns are loaded and delivered at optimal levels.
Ensure all platforms are tagged, ad units tagged with tracking all in place within the PMB GAM.
Monthly billing of digital services to be kept up to date within Aquira and recons in place.
Provide analytics and feedback
Provide post campaign reports - Power BI and Data Studio Required
Provide monthly performance reports
Work with analytics to identify trends and provide insights on creative executions
Work with analytics to identify trends and provide insights for client campaigns
Provide guidance around realistic performance KPI targets for campaigns and clients
Provide feedback and insights to the digital teams in order to inform future strategic objectives
Forecasting on inventory and revenue
Monitor online trends
Continually monitor the trends online and adapt the necessary tools to suit those trends and ensure the best results and maximum exposure.
Where appropriate, maintain and build relationships with 3rd party vendors
Keep relationships strong with Google to ensure we receive latest offerings and/or assistance.
Ratecard setting
Guidance and assistance in Ratecard monitoring and setting.
**Campaign strategy/proposal development**:
Ability to interpret the brief and develop a strategically relevant proposal.
Regular feedback sessions with sales to inform them on offerings and proposals in the system.
Educational qualifications
Matric
Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Communications/Similar or relevant work experience
Computer Literacy e.g. Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint
Required knowledge and experience
Experience in running Client Campaigns in a radio broadcasting environment is to your advantage.
Experience in Facebook Ads Manager, Facebook Business Manager, Creator Studio (Instagram campaigns are included in FB Ads Manager)
Experience in Twitter and LinkedIn ad platforms
Knowledge of Google Analytics
Knowledge of Google Ad Manager
Experience in building niche audiences through interest/ demographic targeting
Experience in building Custom and Lookalike audiences (Retargeting audiences)
Experience with Programmatic Advertising, including drawing up Insertion Orders (speaking to Display, Streaming, Podcast, HPTO’s, etc.)
Experience with tracking and tagging (UTM link building, retargeting Pixels/code, etc.)
Power BI training and Data Studio
