Buyer (Pipe & Steel Industry) (Wholesale & Retail)

An established Pipe & Steel wholesale retailer is seeking the expertise of a seasoned Buyer who will report directly to the Manager: Administration & Warehouse. The business has been in operation since the mid 1980's and has an established customer base with an African footprint.

Sound experience in a Buyer position with industry knowledge is a requirement.

Excellent Excel skills (intermediate to advance)

Communication, conflict and negotiation skills

Strong math ability

This position will have the following duties
- Creation of Works Orders
- Expediting of Works Orders
- Completion of Works Order Schedules and Charge waybills
- Purchase Orders on Buy out Items
- Price Enquiries for Sales, Contracts and Project staff
- Sourcing of Local Stock products and negotiating price
- Sourcing of more competitive buyouts
- Administering price increase and decreases from local manufacturers
- Managing Shouldered pipe stocks.
- Managing stock levels of SABS 62 and SABS 719 Pipe stock
- Managing stock levels on Fabricated Pipe and Fabricated Fittings for Stock
- Preparation and Receipting of completed Creditors documentation for payment
- Investigating and Preparing Stock Adjustments
- Preparation of SABS 62 & SABS 719 Price Lists and increase / decrease letters
- Adhoc physical stock checks and analysis of Stock on order and allocations
- Inventory control in regard to Product Groups under your control

Salary negotiable based on relevant competence

**Salary**: R25,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edenvale, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
