PURPOSE

The purpose of this position is to ;
- Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching and assuring quality of goods.
- Coordinate daily activities such as receiving goods, storing goods and dispatching goods.
- Ensure shipments’ and inventory transactions’ accuracy.
- Ensure timely shipping with accurate timeframes that suit all parties involved.
- Measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee’s performance.
- Confer and coordinate activities with other departments. Coordinate operations on the warehouse floor to ensure seamless execution between Cutting activities and dispatch activities.
- This role is accountable for Pietermaritzburg DC Forklift drivers, Outbound Controllers and Outbound Supervisors. **This role reports into the Outbound Logistics Manager.**

QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 / Matric **with mathematics/literacy**
- Valid Driver’s License is essential
- **Supervisory Management or Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain/Logistics or an equivalent/rlevant certificate is essential**

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & OUTPUTS

Outbound Floor Manager - Deep Focus
- Warehousing and Inventory_
- Manage overall warehouse floor operations and activities to ensure output is maximized in line with warehouse KPI’s.
- Optimize efficient layout, workflows and utilization of warehouse space.
- Managing day-to-day warehouse operations and company products, including capacity planning (people and equipment), processing inbound (returns) and outbound activities efficiently, incl quick turnaround of product replacements.
- Drive integration of Cutting operations with dispatch to ensure efficient warehouse output.
- Coordinate activities with other departments such as Commercial and Transport service providers.
- Ensuring that the packing of tiles and rolls for both domestic and export market is up to the quality standards of the company.
- Drive high performance culture within the warehouse teams and individuals.
- Ensure accuracy of shipments, in line with transactions.
- Identify and propose areas of improvement.
- **Willing to work over time and/or flexible hours to ensure continuity of floor operations.**
