_**Our Client**_ is the industry leading digital marketing agency serving North American Eye and Ear professional service practices. We are a remote-first company, employing a global team of Web Development, SEO, Marketing, Sales and Customer Support experts. We are seeking a **Sales Director **to scale our sales team and sales operations. The primary function of this role is to accelerate the growth of revenues both within our current and into new markets.
The **Sales Director's responsibilities** include developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans. Successful execution of these strategies is required to achieve your financial targets.
Your day to day:
- Manage the sales team
- Conducting one on one meetings with team members (weekly or bi-weekly)
Gather market intelligence from team to share amongst individual members and to the group
Problem solve on current market challenges
Update sales messaging so that its aligned with market and internal requirements
Act as internal champion for company resources
Facilitate group problem solving in and outside of the L10 framework
Reviewing calls, presentations and planning documents used in the sales process
Reviewing activities and outcomes data from the CRM to determine effectiveness of sales motions
Ensure that sales operations processes and systems are continually evolving to meet our changing needs - this includes CRM automation, tools integrations, Playbook management
Analyzing processes and systems that will accelerate sales motion velocity or effectiveness
- Contribute to monthly quotas by prospecting and making sales calls - this is in direct competition with front line sales agents
- Participate in the development of strategic partners and enterprise accounts through presentations and research
- Ensure proper ongoing training for all members
Lead and provide for weekly skills training sessions
Capture feedback and design learning programs for individual team members
Introduce outside training programs for team participation
- Maintain cross-functionality within team members to ensure 100% sales up time
- Ensure quality of existing sales data
- Deliver full funnel reporting on all key sales metrics - Metrics defined by sales leader, sales ops find a way to deliver them
- Work closely with Marketing Team on campaigns and specials
- Ideate and design sales campaigns first and then bring marketing and production teams together to focus on execution
- Deploy and train sales team members to exhibit at industry events
- Meet regularly with key Team Leaders within the company to gain a full understanding of the organization and to foster communication and innovation
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Enhance industry knowledge through constant learning about the optometric industry, expanding into ophthalmology and audiology - a plus
- Deliver industry webinars
- Is the primary resource for all matters relating to New Business Development
**Job requirements**
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- 5+ years experience as a sales leader in a team that grew and increased sales.
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors -what does this mean?
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Have experience working sales in North America
- Background in working saleswith B2B
- Experience working with SAAS/Software.
- Flexibility to work from **15:00 pm to 23:00 pm South African time**, Mondays to Fridays
- Able to work remotely and be prepared for any load shedding that may occur
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Executive Management: 1 year (preferred)
