**Job Description**:

- The GSS People Master Data Management service line works in partnership with the Group HR ’s Data governance team to deliver the people (employee and contractor) data and process strategy for the Group in accordance with GSS principals. The service delivery is to administer and support the relevant Anglo American Group HR policies within the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA). The incumbent will deliver a successful global People Master Data Management service line.

To ensure governance, data integrity and business support for all Anglo American Group Functions and Business Units ensuring delivery of exceptional, on-time, high quality customer service.

**KEY TASKS**

**Service Delivery to Business Units and Group Functions (Anglo American and De Beers)**:

- Accountable for the People Master Data Management team’s timely and accurate processing within the required Service Level Agreements (SLA),
- Presentation of team performance at senior management meetings
- Provide input into regulatory and compliance reporting in support of audits as well as disaster recovery processes and policies.
- Ensure strong business relationships and adding value through optimal customer service and improved processing efficiency
- Resolve escalated queries and issues and provide input into incident reports.
- Provide superior customer service at first point of contact, ensuring all requests/queries are treated with urgency.
- KPI and Service Level Agreement reporting and implementation
- Maintain procedures to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks
- High level data analytical reporting

**Service Delivery - Contractor Engagements**
- Ensure compliance to Contractor Engagement/Maintenance Frameworks within Anglo American
- Where applicable, manage GSS Contractor Engagement Portals including system configuration, user setup and administration, resolution of technical issues, enhancements, and overall system support
- Oversee the maintenance of contractors in all regions and regularly provide clean-up and compliance reporting for business units
- Provide input into and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in change management and communication regarding contractor engagement and maintenance changes/updates
- Contract negotiation/resolution
- Compliance reporting and actioning in line with Local Country Laws and Regulations

**Service Delivery - Organisational Management**
- Responsible in driving effective organisational data governance and integrity to ensure valid, consistent data is available to enable local, global and Group HR data analytics, reporting and peripheral system interfaces to run effectively
- Continuous rationalisation and harmonisation of data structures

**Service Delivery - Employee Data Maintenance**
- Responsible for controlling employee master data validation and compliance to respective Business Unit and Group HR policies and procedures.

**Service Delivery - SAP AOP/Business Warehouse**
- Ensure compliance to the SAP AOP frameworks within Anglo American
- Oversees the control around access, role profiles, user setup and resolution of technical issues
- Provide input into and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Compliance reporting and auditing in line with the Group governance guidelines

**People**:

- Demonstrate behaviour in line with the Group’s values, standards and a professional workplace.
- Provide leadership to, and develop the performance of, your team in line with the Group’s policies and systems (e.g. performance management) in order to achieve business goals. As part of this:

- Foster a constructive and productive working environment;
- Monitor the work of each team member and provide regular and useful feedback to them on how they are performing and
- Drive delivery of objectives holding team members to account for their work
- Participate as an effective team member in working collaboratively with your leader, peers and relevant others (including from other teams) to achieve business goals
