Reconciliation and Payments to suppliers
- Recons: Supplier recons completed within stipulated deadlines. Creditor’s reconciliation and remittance for payments to be checked and approved timeously.
- Remittances / Payments: Supplier terms and conditions adhered to, loaded and paid on time with settlement discounts deducted where applicable, credits taken and resolved
- Reports: Reconciling aged analysis and ensuring items do not exceed 60 days. Run Supplier remittance reports. Prepare Commentary for monthly Reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with all business units to ensure accurate and timely payment of vendor payments
- Data verification: Ensure all invoices/statements are legally and tax compliant and correct bank accounts are listed
- Manage stakeholders’ queries (Internal, external and audit)
- Actively drive a Pay on Time culture and ensure timeous execution of payments to all Suppliers/Vendors across the Group
- Publish Age Analysis by business unit
- Assessment of best practices and the implementation of new and/or enhancements to the current payment processes
- Train all new controllers and administrators on the payments process and requirements
- Assist controllers with all queries, problem-solving, account issues
- Motivate and develop team of controllers and adhere to IPM programme
- Ensure business units complies with Payments SOP’s and Company Payment Policies and Procedures
- Publish risk list monthly and update with business unit commentary
- Month end financial reporting to be completed
- Run reports and build pivot tables from scratch to match existing reporting formats
- Balancing of Trial balance and Inter company accounts/ledgers on a monthly basis
- Ensure recordkeeping is impeccable
- Assist and liaise with auditors (internal, external and BEE) on an ongoing basis
- Technical ability to troubleshoot failed payments and root cause thereof and assist with resolving

- Assist and resolve all bank recon queries from the various business units
- Automate processes and systems
- Assist and update policies and procedures in department

Enhance communication between CPH department and rest of the Group to achieve Pay on Time

- Diploma/Degree in Finance/Accounting is requirement
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Creditors role
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory / Team leader role
- Must be computer literate - MS Excel advance, Word, SAGE X3 or similar ERP system, Workflow or similar

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Knowledge of Accounting principles
- Strong organizational, analytical and account reconciliation skills
- Ability to work with vendors and employees at all levels of the organization promptly and professionally
- Strong supervisory and problem solving skills
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Strict attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and see projects through to completion
- Ability to work well independently, and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Sage X3, Workflow, Microsoft Excel (Advance), Word and Outlook
