A leading Clothing Retailer is requiring an **Area Manager** who will be based in Mthatha but will oversee the surrounding stores, namely: Lusikisiki, Flag Staff, Bizana, Mount Frere, Matatiele, Bizana, Qumbu and Mthatha. Minimum Requirements:

- *Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Clothing Retail operations environment as a Manager or Store Manager *Clothing Retail experience is a requisite *Matric *Operations Management Diploma/Degree or relevant/related Retail NQF 5/Diploma *Attention to detail *Good communication skills *Proven ability to manage staff and ensure maximum productivity *Valid Driver’s License - Code 8 unendorsed *Willing to travel *Computer literate: Microsoft Office. Duties to include:

- *Responsible for all operations in his/her business unit as a whole and ensure required housekeeping standards at all times *Assist the Operations Manager to make business decisions *Stock Control - responsible and accountable for all stock (overages, shortages, quality and quantity and identify and report on slow sellers *Coordinate the layout of shelves and merchandise of seasonal and sale displays *Identify new ways of promoting merchandise *Manage the implementation and actively participate in marketing promotions *Achieve and exceed store sales targets *Stay current with products, marketing and pricing of area retailers with similar products *Manage controllable expenses directly affects the profitability of the branch *Ensure that the standard of administration and procedures in store are met *Assign employees to duties, training, motivate and manage all performance and development of staff *Enforce disciplinary action when necessary *Manage the security in all aspects of the business and ensure that security procedures are strictly adhered to *Monitor security staff *Assist customers with enquiries and complaints.
