- Our client a leading Financial Institution is looking for a Head of Strategy to lead the teams in the delivery of actionable insights by the strategy team that provides support to the company through providing expert guidance regarding the inputs and decisions to influence the strategy.
- Job Purpose:

- To lead the teams in the delivery of actionable insights by the company’s strategy team that provides support to the company through providing expert guidance regarding the inputs and decisions to influence the strategy.
- The Head Strategy plays a leadership role in the business, leading the strategy management team in the development of long-range of strategic plans and objectives through the identification of strategic issues and opportunities that could influence business growth and profitability.

Job Content:
Results Delivery:

- Provide relevant input into the formalisation of the divisional budget.
- Craft departmental 5-year business plans to ensure delivery of focus areas for the year in support of strategy.
- Ensure that planning is effective by facilitating annual strategic planning sessions as well as day to day project planning.
- Lead the process to develop the overarching five-year organisational strategy by identifying the key themes to address in the strategy session, the process to be followed and outputs to be developed to position the company for growth and sustainability.
- Identify strategic opportunities for the company and ensure development of recommendations for the executive team as to whether and how they should be pursued, by identifying size of opportunity, costs associated etc, to pursue opportunities that grow revenue/protect loss of revenue for the exchange.
- Ensure that the Strategy team produces quarterly thought leadership pieces and input into the CEO's report by providing guidance as to focus areas and conducting quality assurance on the final product to ensure that the executive team can make the right decisions based on the latest trends in the operating environment.
- Conduct monthly meetings with the different market areas to discuss/highlight variance analyses in comparison to revenue drivers to assist the different markets to obtain an oversight of the financials.

Stakeholder Relationship Management:

- Establish collaborative and trusting relationships with the business's key internal leaders and stakeholders to ensure that there is a free flow of ideas and information across the business leading to suitable strategy formulation and overall business performance enhancement.
- Collaborate across the organisation with the leadership, aiding in strategy formulation for different projects and initiatives.
- Engage stakeholders and network actively to build relationships and professional networks utilising social media, attending, and presenting at conferences and training interventions.
- Build and enhance client relationships by understanding and analysing their requirements.
- Meet client expectations through follow up, communication and adhering to deadlines and deliverables.
- Conduct ongoing and targeted engagement with stakeholders to understand the market infrastructure environment and trends, build relations and position the company favourably through developing trusting relationships.
- Represent the company to external stakeholders to promote a positive image of the exchange.
- Establish internal client expectations of service delivery for the Strategy and Pricing teams and ensure that the team delivers accordingly to deliver on-time and relevant information and guidance to the business.

Process Management:

- Responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives through the development of work plans, gathering and generation of relevant data, driving analysis and the development of actionable recommendations.
- Review feasibility of new markets as well as their potential growth opportunities.
- Translate functional strategy into department delivery strategy and project plans.
- Design and implement new strategic approaches, ideas, and process that will grow together with business and avail measurable results.
- Provide framework and guidance for the review of the macro environment by identifying key factors to keep track, sources to monitor, parties to liaise with etc to make informed strategic choices for the company.
- Define potential business models to realise profitability opportunities and avail insightful qualitative analyses.
- Develop and implement strategic and analytical tools and processes.
- Build analytical models and perform regular financial, competitive, performance, and market analyses for the business to comprehensively value business opportunities and ensure well founded strategies are presented to the relevant leadership.
