Sales Co-ordinator and Estimator

Our **Freight Client** is currently looking for a **Sales Co-Ordinator / Estimator **based in **Durban**

They are looking for an experienced and well-organized **Clearing and Forwarding Sales Coordinator and Estimator** to provide the necessary support to the New Business Sales Team. The goal is to support the New Business Sales Executives with their quotations, proposals and rate maintenance so as to maximize their performance and the solid and long-lasting development of the company.

**Main Responsibilities**

Estimates
- Compile estimates / quotes according to client requirements and scope of work, and according the relevant pricing guidelines
- Ensure estimated charges correspond to client rates
- Quality check estimate on a continuous basis.
- Forward estimates to customers with the relevant New Business Sales Executive in copy.
- Save finalised estimates, in excel and word format, in the relevant central repository.
- Prepare professional proposals and presentations
- Administrative support

Rates
- Maintain customer rates and schedules in relevant systems and locations
- Maintain buy and sell rate schedules in conjunction with operations
- Ensure all third party rates are marked up in accordance with company pricing policy

Tenders / RFQ’s / NDA’s
- Complete Tenders / RFQ’s in accordance with company processes and governance guidelines.
- Verify contractual term compliance with legal and insurance departments before finalising
- Ensure correct level signoff, internally, prior to submission
- Submit tenders before deadlines.
- Follow up on tenders to establish outcome.
- Ensure adherence to laws and company policies

Query Handling
- Attend to any estimate or rate queries timeously
- Communicate any queries and amendments to all parties involved

SOP’s and SLA’s
- Co-ordinate SOP and / SLA signoff internally and externally.
- Archive all SOP’s and or SLA’s in relevant central repository.

General
- Provide after-sales support when requested
- Co-ordinate, manage and drive the new account opening process
- Support New Business Sales Executives with onboarding of customers where required
- Report on quote generation, acceptance and rejection rates with advice and actions to improve

**Essential Requirements**
- Matric / Grade 12 / NQF4
- At least five years’ experience in a pricing Co-Ordinator or Estimator
- Computer literate (MS Office, ERP Systems, CRM)
- Report Writing and Presentation Skills
- Demonstrable understanding of the Logistics and / or Clearing and Forwarding industry

**Desired Requirements**
- Contract negotiation and management experience
- Experience dealing with bonded cargo and the various customs requirements and implications
- Knowledge of 3PL, 4PL and 5PL solutions
- Knowledge of Customs and Port Charges and processes
- Previous experience with Profit and Loss statements

**Salary range CTC **R20 000- R23000

Includes Bonus, Provident fund and Medical aid

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Estimator/ Sales Coordinator: 1 year (preferred)
- Logistics and / or Clearing and Forwarding industry: 1 year (preferred)
