Logistics Project Coordinator

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Project Coordination**
- Support the development of project plans, including basic timelines and resource estimates.
- Assist in coordinating logistics activities and communicating with internal teams and external vendors.
- Track project progress and provide regular updates to the logistics manager and other stakeholders.
**Process Improvement**
- Help identify areas for improvement in logistics processes and contribute to implementing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in regular process reviews and suggest ideas to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
**Inventory and Supply Chain Management**
- Aid in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with the procurement team to ensure timely stock replenishment.
- Assist in tracking and resolving inventory discrepancies and reporting issues to the logistics manager.
**Communication and Collaboration**
- Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, addressing queries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the logistics team and other departments to ensure smooth project execution.
**Data Entry and Analysis**
- Assist in collecting and entering logistics data, using software tools to track shipments and analyze inventory levels.
- Help prepare basic reports and summaries for project performance and logistics operations.
**Documentation and Compliance**
- Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in ensuring that logistics operations comply with relevant regulations and standards.
**Risk Identification**
- Assist in identifying potential risks and challenges in logistics projects and support the development of mitigation plans.
- Contribute to risk assessments and help implement basic risk management strategies.
**Training and Development Support**
- Participate in training sessions and assist in training logistics team members on new processes and systems.
- Support a culture of continuous improvement within the logistics team.
**K**nowledge, Education, Skills & Experience**:
- **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and NetSuite.
- **Communication Skills**: Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- **Organizational Skills**: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- **Problem-Solving Skills**: Ability to identify issues and assist in developing solutions.
- **Interpersonal Skills**: Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team and build positive relationships.
- **Attention to Detail**: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- ** Driver's licence**
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to travel occasionally for project coordination and site visits.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
**Working Conditions**:
- This position is primarily office-based but may require visits to warehouses, distribution centers, and other logistics facilities.
