The head of the Project Management Office at Traderoot plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing project management activities with the organisation. The role responsibilities include establishing and maintaining effective project management processes and methodologies to ensure the successful delivery of projects, in line with Traderoot’s objectives. The HOD - Project Management Office acts as a central point of co-ordination and control, ensuring project teams adhere to standards and best practices while providing guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.

**Primary responsibilities**
- Develop and implement a PMO strategy that aligns with Traderoot's overall goals and objectives.
- Establish and maintain project management processes and methodologies that ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
- Manage PMO staff, including setting performance expectations and providing coaching and development opportunities.
- Define and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of PMO and projects.
- Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard.
- Manage the financial aspects of projects, including budgeting, forecasting and risk management, including identifying, evaluating and managing project risks and issues and ensuring that contingency plans are in place.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and partners to ensure that their needs and expectations are met and to drive successful projects.
- Represent the PMO at HOD meetings.
- Ensure personal understanding of the Traderoot Enterprise Platform (TEP) products and their functioning, at a level needed for supporting projects.
- Ensure all steps in the project management process - initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and project closure are efficiently and timeously completed.
- Act as the glue, co-ordinating and efficiently handling applicable departments and personnel involved in different aspects of projects, reporting of project developments and escalations of issues.

**Qualifications** **and** **Experience**

The HOD - Project Management Office should have applicable qualifications and experience to run a Project Management department efficiently. The following are examples of preferred qualifications and experience:

- Project Management Professional certification, Prince 2, PMBOK, Agile and Waterfall
- Project management methodologies experience
- Ten or more years experience in a corporate environment for a small or medium sized company or as an entrepreneur running a project management office
- Strong experience in programme management, process mapping, capacity management and working with finance departments assisting with project costing and providing input into sales proposals, such as project costs and resources capacity.
- Good people and relationship management skills
- Be a self-starter, with attention to detail and proven experience delivering projects to large corporate clients and running internal and customer related projects

**Salary**: From R110 000,00 per month
