Senior Project Engineer

Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree preferable. Mechanical Engineering or similar. Post graduate studies advantageous.
- 5 years+ engineering design, construction management experience. HVAC experience advantageous.
- Professional Registration (PrENG, PrTech, etc.) advantageous.
Duties:
- Technical lead within the company’s engineering office.
- Managing technical aspects on multiple HVAC Projects. (design and implementation)
- Managing technical design and implementation on large industrial HVAC applications.
- Drive technical best practice in office, including research into new methods and processes.
- Estimation and Cost Control, including assisting in project tendering and costing.
- Drive deadline achievement on all projects.
- Manage Technical staff and contractors.
- Project reporting to management as required.
- Project Managing including site liaising and site meetings and programming.
- Technical submittals as part of project approval processes.
- Maintain change management logs and variation orders.
- Ensure that change logs are recorded and costing provided for all variations on site.
- Notify builder and relevant parties of any delays to the program.
- Protect the company from potential penalties by actively managing the program and informing parties of delays.
- Inform the company’s Directors of issues arising on site which need immediate attention.
- Managing the claim process, including verification of certificates and claim queries.
