An opportunity has arisen for onsite Channel Controller to expedite delivery of import cargo. Communicates with clients and third party service providers. Updates shipment information. Performs a variety of procurement functions by omporting and exporting via sea
- and/or airfreight raw Materials and engineering spares to ensure the timely delivery knowing at all times where the goods are. Liaises and instructs various departments in the freight process.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12 Matric
- NQF level 4,
- Diploma
- NQF level 6
- Up to 2 years

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Validate all supplier invoices including Clearing Agent’s invoice
- Prepare Costings
- Creating indents and PO's
- Place PO/Indent with Suppliers
- Screening and verifying credit terms of new suppliers
- Define all compliance issues for shippers for each country and assist shippers to be compliant
- Source compliance requirements from the relevant countries
- Liaise and monitor with inspection companies that compliance issues are and advise where charges need to be made
- Following through on the full shipment process timeously and accurately, from receipt of documents until final delivery of cargo
and invoice
- Obtain Pro forma invoice from supplier and verify all info against Indent.
- Raise drafted Letter of Credit on Bank’s website
- Obtain all shipping documents from supplier within the specified timeframe, check the documents conform.
- Arrange Clearing instructions for clearance
- Arrange Forex payment to suppliers.
- Have the relevant knowledge to deal with Letter of credits and Foreign Bill of Exchange
- Identify urgent orders and coordinate with priority.
- Arrange Goods-In Transit Schedule with full value of the orders.
- Communication: Keep all stakeholders informed at all times
- Cordinate all shipping requirements between client and Clearing agent
- Arrange status reports
- Keep track of all additional costs and recoveries.
