PURPOSE

The Payroll Administrator is responsible for assisting in multiple activities relating to all the payroll functions. This includes timely and accurate delivery of payroll payments, including record keeping and reporting. To provide support and assistant to the HR Manager.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

¨ A minimum of 3 years’ experience with primary responsibility for monthly payroll administration and processing

¨ Matric

¨ Excellent MS Excel and Word Skills

¨ Sound SAGE VIP / Business Cloud/ ESS knowledge

¨ Knowledge of biometric system

¨ Knowledge of BCEA and Tax

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

¨ Administration and completion of payroll for all monthly paid employees.

¨ Payroll Financial Reconciliation

¨ Monthly statutory Reconciliation

¨ Ensure that all salaries are paid accurately and in a timely fashion to all employees

¨ Prepare and maintain related payroll records and reports for audit purposes in accordance with statutory requirements.

¨ Take and handle all queries arising from questions about payroll.

¨ Maintain personnel files.

¨ Ensure all relevant documentation is received for new and terminated employees.

¨ Attendance record and leave maintenance.

¨ Daily management of biometric system and provide reports to management.

¨ Preparing monthly reports and financial reports.

¨ Creating various spread sheets - leave due report, absentees report and other personnel related spreadsheets.

¨ Assist with recruiting and interviewing of staff.

¨ Assist with disciplinary and HR issues.

¨ Maintain absenteeism and leave roster/daily reports.

¨ Other duties as assigned from time to time.
