**Business Development Representative (Based in Cape Town)**

**Position Summary**
- To present and promote the company offering to prospective (and existing) clients with the goal of growing client base.

The role will be directly responsible for generating and followingup new business development leads, co-ordinating the responsible role players in thebusiness to present a feasible solutionto the client (new and existing)

To provide monthly feedback on sales activities aligned to budgetary and planned actions with sales targets.

**Key Accountabilities/ Principal Responsibilities**
- **Promote and sell FM Solutions services**
- Understand the company business service offerings
- Package the company business service offerings into printed and digital format for distribution and presentation to clients
- Cold calling on prospective clients and selling the company service offerings aligned to client needs
- Source sales leads, identify prospective clients, turning them into sales opportunities and converting themto new business
- Attend trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations to represent the company (this may be applicable to after hour events - where required)
- Assist in Identifying product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities, and competitors
- Create and utilise sales proposals to build a library of sales documentation. Also, to utilise these documents in presentation to prospective clients.

**- General administration Functions**:

- Contribute to team effort byaccomplishing related results, attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues.
- Assist with any ad-hoc requests from management and complete anytasks allocated by management regarding strategic technical projects
- Perform general administrative tasks as required in the CRM
- To work in accordance the company QMS systems.
- To meet with operational teams for a debrief of industry trends and current operational trends
- Familiarise him/herself with the CAFM system in operations and associated service delivery processes in order to on sell the service
- Collaborate with other departments in the business as well as subsidiary businesses in the company Group

**- Client relationship management**
- Maintain client relationships in order to position yourself as a trusted advisor and provide remedies in accordance with client expectations
- Work with other team members, consultants, key customers, and key suppliers to solve specific challenges and leverage growth opportunities
- Generating new opportunities within existing client environments

**- Sales Targets and reporting**
- Meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales targets
- Preparing and submitting weekly sales reports to management
- Update and maintain the current sales CRM system. Record all Account, Contact and Opportunity information and maintain all related data
- Maintain sales activity records via CRM and prepare reports.
- Provide the BD department with estimated contract values of potential and signed opportunities in order to track against financial performance

**- Generating Sales leads**
- Work the contact lists and nurture current leads by building relationships with potential clients
- Assist in market research and trends and convert these into product development initiatives within the business
- Proactively grow the company database by researching newpotential clients

**- EXPERIENCE**:

- Grade 12
- Diploma or degree in sales and marketing
- 3 - 5 years sales experience with proven track record of consultative selling, cold calling, reselling, and achieving

sales targets and KPI’s
- Report writing
- Knowledge of the Facilities Management or built environment industry
- Good knowledge of basic business principles demonstrating abilities to plan and strategize
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Driver’s license and own reliable vehicle;
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Afrikaans and Xhosa would be an advantage
