**_ Position Purpose:_**

Responsible for development, leading the Implementation, and Sustaining of comprehensive Safety, Health, Environment

Quality (SHEQ) terminal practice and plans including the oversight role of fire safety risks and mitigations and SHEQ

strategies. Furthermore, to ensure an efficient and effective management of SHEQ operational risk management processes,

systems, and compliance. Anticipate, analyse, and provide treatment of SHEQ risks attached to terminal processes,

environment or stakeholder activity that may result in ill-health, injury or loss to any asset or property or that may impact

negatively on the image of TPT in a manner that fulfils the mission and strategic goals and objectives of the organization.

**_ Position outputs:_**

Lead the implementation of a comprehensive Terminal long-term occupational safety, health and environmental strategies,

plans, guidelines, and procedures to achieve the prevention and management of ill-health, injury or loss to any asset or

property in the workplace.

Implementation and maintenance of standardization of SHEQ processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adequate

operational/productivity service levels are in place for ongoing business and legal compliance within the Terminal

Responsible for effective and efficient implementation of Terminal safety, health, environment, and quality management

systems certification through the implementation of initiatives, appropriate for demonstrating continuous improvement,

international best practice, and management commitment.

Ensure that Terminal is aligned to established TIMS, TPT SHEQ strategy and practices in accordance to ISO Standards the

business subscribes to including but not limited to lS0 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001.

Drive all SHEQ systems (TIMS) related assurance activities including the establishment of plans, managing system

surveillance programs, reports and associated action plans and registers.

Lead management staff through all SHEQ external audit processes to ensure effective audit process.

Responsible for SHEQ oversight role/function and drive a compliance program that ensures that the Fire Safety Management

Strategy is implemented in accordance to applicable standards and regulatory requirements, including ensuring that fire

related safety risks have been identified, controls to manage are defined and that the testing of their effectiveness forms part

of the overall Emergency Preparedness Program.

Play a SHEQ oversight role and ensure that all 1st Lines of Defence are implemented by Processes Owners in line with the

Terminal SHEQ Risk Profile; this should include the consideration and inclusion of legislative compliance programs specific

to terminal equipment, infrastructure,

Occupational Hygiene specifications, commodities being handled and accordingly the testing of the effectiveness of controls

and or Managements Programs inclusive of associated response plans. In line with the outcomes of the SHEQ Combined

Assurance Program, identify and establish Continuous Improvement Programs and initiatives to improve the overall terminal

SHEQ performance.

Implement, promote, and drive the Safety Culture Program for the Terminal in line with the overall Safety Culture Strategy to

change culture at Leadership, Organizational/Operational and People Level. Define and implement roll out plans, monitor and

report on KPI’s at the relevant governance structures; establish and create links with the overall Operational Risk
Management Program.

Establish and Facilitate an Effective SHEQ Communication Program to improve employee engagement and risk awareness.

Establish Platforms to entrench processes and improve the understanding of Change Management Processes/Programmes,

Emergency Preparedness, and associated response plans.

Drive and entrench a SHEQ performance reporting culture that ensures leadership has quality information for decision

making. Define a reporting structure which aligns to Corporate and OD Reporting requirements and protocols. Develop,
