**THE ROLE**

As the Fundraising Manager, you will be responsible for:
**Community Fundraising**:

- To develop and deliver the community fundraising strategy in-line with Organisation’s strategy.
- To research and identify appropriate mosques, schools, community organisations and other Islamic institutions which will support Muslim Hands South Africa work.
- Achieve agreed targets and maximising fundraising income.
- Book and manage fundraising collections at the Mosques throughout the year, with regular key bookings during Ramadan, Qurbani and other holy periods.
- Recruit and manage volunteers from Mosque partners to assist with collections and promote the Muslim Hands South Africa.
- Establishing relationships with a large portfolio of Mosques in South Africa
- Maintaining strong relationships with Mosques via frequent visits and regular communication with key stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communications with the above organisations to book events and collections throughout the year.
- To promote fundraising campaigns and events through social media, leaflet and poster distribution.
- To attend events related to mosques and Islamic institutions for networking purposes.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan that includes individual donations, grants, and corporate sponsorships, while adhering to Islamic principles and values
- Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors and sponsors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Organize and oversee fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives to generate support and revenue for the organization.
- Manage and supervise the fundraising team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting of all fundraising activities.
- Ensure that all fundraising activities comply with relevant regulations and ethical standards.
- Stay up-to-date with trends and best practices in fundraising, and continually seek ways to improve our fundraising efforts
- Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities.

**Major Giving**:

- Develop and deliver Major Giving strategy in-line with organization’s strategy.
- To work towards an agreed annual income target and support the management of the major donor expenditure budget.
- To manage a portfolio of major donors and individual prospects to result in gifts of R20 000 and above.
- To identify key cultivation opportunities for major donors and prospects throughout the year and ensure they are included in the overall strategy.
- To work with the team to develop and achieve team objectives and plans, including forming an effective working relationship with the relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with the Programme department to provide any programmatic feedback, regarding the management of major donors.
- Work with Comms team to produce marketing materials as required.
- To support with general MH Fundraising activities from time-to-time.
- To undertake any reasonable responsibilities as required by line manager.
- To adhere to all Muslim Hands Policy.

**Corperate Social Responsibility (CSR)**:

- To develop and deliver a CSR strategy which is aligned to the organisation’s strategy.
- Act as a key contact internally and externally for all CSR activity.
- Launch, manage and evaluate key CSR initiatives working closely with relevant partners.
- Work with colleagues to devise a communications programme to increase employee engagement and volunteering.
- Provide information and prepare relevant paragraphs for inclusion in business pitches and marketing materials.

- Educated to degree level.
- Experienced either in the charity sector or a customer service role; especially in a ‘Fundraising Department'.
