Herschel Girls Senior School seeks to appoint an advancement, fundraising and marketing manager to commence duties in January or as soon thereafter, 2024.

**The successful applicant must be**:
Highly relational and easily approachable, with a passionate advocacy for the holistic education of girls,
A supportive and visionary leader who is resourceful and adaptive, proactive and innovative, a team player who makes things happen, a person with passion and purpose, energy and intuition.
Able to develop a dynamic marketing strategy which aligns with the whole school strategic objectives, to create a vibrant brand identity for Herschel and to conceptualise and run fundraising initiatives to support the growth and development of the school;
Interested in the advancement opportunities for pupils entering high school; someone who is committed to creating opportunities for pupils to enter high school through the procurement of sustainable funding;
In possession of excellent organisational and administrative skills with a proven ability to work flexibly, prioritise and plan, and deliver to deadline.
A person who is genuinely committed to transformation, equity and belonging and who will be intentional about marketing Herschel to grow diversity,
In possession of strong IT skills, proficient in working with data and with a demonstrable working knowledge and understanding of publishing and editing programmes to support creative marketing/advertising campaigns.
Skilled and innovative in social media and digital marketing, and able to tell the stories of our pupils/staff/parents with authenticity, confidence and pride through adapting style and content as needed;
In possession of outstanding written and verbal communication skills and be able to communicate at all levels with nuance and appropriate register and to edit and proofread written content to excellent standards.
Value-driven, independent and a critical thinker who has a genuine interest in independent girls' schools' education,
Able to work under pressure accurately, calmly and with attention to detail, possessing the ability to 'make a plan' and to adapt for the show to go on,
Flexible and willing to work in the evenings and occasionally on weekends when required to be at functions,
Strong event management and coordination skills, and the ability to ensure that all functions across the whole school are of an excellent standard,
A person who will build a team to promote and enrich a positive and happy school ethos.
The responsibilities for this role are wide-ranging and will be discussed in greater depth at interview level. Our mission is to find the right person for this position because this is the key determiner for success in the role.
