GCO is thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for a skilled, detail-oriented, and proactive **Accounts Senior** to join the dynamic Accounts team of one of our prestigious UK-based clients. Under the guidance of a Business Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in delivering timely, high-quality client services, meeting deadlines, and adhering to budgetary constraints.

**Location**: Johannesburg or Cape Town (Hybrid)

**Responsibilities**:

- Cultivate strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and trust.
- Manage and oversee accounts preparation for assigned clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Lead the planning, review, and finalization of Accounts Preparation assignments, including budget management and trainee oversight.
- Facilitate client agreement on Accounts adjustments and integrate them into the accounting system.
- Prepare tax computations for various entity types, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Monitor budgets and oversee billing and collection processes.
- Mentor and guide semi-seniors and trainees to foster professional growth and development.
- Customize work programs to suit individual client needs and risk profiles.
- Complete company secretarial duties accurately and on time.
- Update financial statements and statutory books to reflect changes in shareholdings and directorships.
- Stay informed about accounting changes through continuous professional development.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with clients to pursue them effectively.

**Requirements**:

- Partially Qualified CA(SA), ACCA, or AGA(SA).
- Proficient in **UK GAAP / FRS 102** standards.
- Demonstrated experience of 1 - 3 years in **Accounts Preparation (FRS102)**.
- Client-focused and commercially astute, with the ability to deliver work to high standards, tight deadlines, and within budget constraints.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to build rapport internally and externally.
- Proficiency in Excel, including adept use of Pivot tables and CSV files for efficient work execution.
- Ideally experienced in working with IRIS and Xero software for accounts preparation and tax computations.
