A B2B financial services company in Cape Town’s Southern Suburbs has a terrific hybrid opportunity for a mid - senior Digital Marketing Specialist to drive traffic to their website. We are looking for an extremely tech-savvy, driven and smart individual to satisfy their bold digital ambitions - reaching audiences beyond their current resources and building our online following. This role will drive where and how the company shows up online via resourceful and hardworking digital marketing strategies. It calls for someone who shows great initiative, and who can setup and run this incredibly important function in the business, bringing them into the future.

**Responsibilities**:

- Strategy: the ability to understand the company’s varied objectives, target markets and key messages; and to translate these into digital action plans that reach the right people and get them to take action. The focus is on owned and earned media.
- Leverage & implement: these bold new ways need to be implemented, managed, and maintained on an on-going basis; making existing content and assets work hard.
- Work closely with senior leaders, marketing teammates and other company entities.
- Works with website maintenance team (on retainer).
- Work with other agencies, creatives and other freelancers as required.
- Develop and implement digital marketing strategies and initiatives across appropriate channels.
- Where appropriate, conceptualise and implement digital marketing campaigns.
- Work with team to ensure all new and existing content is geared for maximum digital efficacy.
- Ensure website follows global best practice, is current and content is up to date.
- Ensure all digital touch points complement one another and are up to date.
- Find and manage digital outlets for research and content.
- Find and manage online listings and directories, ensuring consistency in appearance and description of the firm and its offering.
- Internally, lead digital innovations and (marketing) property maintenance with external service providers.
- Ad hoc marketing project/mini-campaign coordination - takes brief from internal clients, determines needs and strategy, conceptualises upfront, gathers info to produce supporting content, briefs freelancers and suppliers, ensures all deliverables are met and of the highest standard, manages project and rolls out the solution/campaign appropriately.
- Works closely with the rest of the team and supports one another.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrable experience or portfolio and/or Certified Internet Web Professional (CIW) in social media, or multi-media or similar qualification.
- Experience 4-6 years relevant experience.
- Financial services experience - beneficial but not essential.
- Advanced WordPress experience.
- Comfortable with handling and interpreting complex data - translating these findings into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Visual communication/design experience is a big plus.
- Proven organisational skills including the ability to plan and prioritise work to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Must be proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook etc.)
- Excellent attention to detail - written and visual.
- A love for all things digital (staying up to date with digital developments and best practices).
- A thoughtful individual who is able to think strategically and considers all moving parts.
- Proactive self-starter, resourceful and highly motivated.
- Excellent team player, collaborator, and communicator; including the ability to consult, facilitate, negotiate, and influence a broad range of people at all levels.
- Takes ultimate accountability for deadlines and digital results.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent attention to detail for both written and visual communications.
- Excellent at listening, questioning, and responding to gained information - will seek to understand complex concepts in order to solve appropriately and effectively.
- Willingness to learn and teach others.
- Experience juggling multiple projects and competing tasks simultaneously.
