The Chicken Business is currently seeking a seasoned Learning Specialist to join the Talent Team. The role will be based in Rustenburg reporting to the HR Exec: Learning and Talent Development. We are looking for a relationship builder with a passion for the development of employees across the business.

5 years relevant experience in a learning and development function or similar environment
**The Learning Specialist will be responsible to**:
- Planning and implementation of the Learning and Development Plan for the Inland Region, Animal Feed Business and Breed Business
- Ensure that skills development delivery addresses current and future skills requirements through effective facilitation of competency-based training need analyses, workplace skills plan compilation, selection and supervision of facilitators and training service providers.
- Oversee training program scheduling and executing, the provision of effective logístical support, training management reporting, and cost control.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Training Needs Analysis/Identification**
Planning, implementation and overseeing successful execution of a Learning and Development plan
Assess training needs through various channels and stakeholders
Conduct training needs analysis using a variety of techniques and methodologies.
Creation of a training/skills matrix per functional area
Support Line Managers to design well thought through IDP’s (Individual development plans)
Effective facilitation of standard methodology to provide competency based training needs analyses;
Design, deliver, evaluate and improve learning and development initiatives across multiple functions
Source details on learning and development interventions, as defined in the Learning and Development strategy, in order to meet organizational, departmental and individual development needs.
Overseeing of training programme scheduling and executing in accordance with the wider learning and development strategy.
Direct and oversee the provision of effective logístical support for arranged internal and external learning events;
Produce reports on learning and development activity using agreed HR performance indicators.
Produce and maintain accurate electronic and manual learning and development records in compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
Assist line managers and facilitators solve specific training or learning problems, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups.
**Facilitate the co-creation of learning curriculum design and development (Education and Training Design)**
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups and the subsequent measurement of training effects.
Implement and track training programs for business partners, managers, trainers and others by participating and conducting a needs analysis, skills development classes/train the trainer classes and cross training.
Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure they are current and effective Manage the end-to-end projects.
Acts as a productive and proactive liaison/partner with the operations and business teams consistently seeking to make a positive impact on key business safety, quality, productivity and customer experience metrics.
Select and assign instructors or vendors to conduct training
Perform administrative tasks such as monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment. The Learning and Development specialist organizes and delivers effective programs and services to meet the organizations objectives by preparing and conducting a variety of learning and development sessions for staff and by providing “just in time” training for immediate needs of the business.
This position also maintains the online modules and resources administered via the Perform Management system and answers questions from staff regarding the same as and when needed. Manages information on the HR Manage system by tracking attendance and programme information, running reports and fielding questions to provide support to the Learning manager.
Using relevant creative approaches and technical material design knowledge, the learning and development specialist researches topics to ensure effective learning programs including instructor-led, e-learning and blended learning are offered within the business - and organizes/modifies/develops material to enhance the learning experience.
Ability to grasp details and narrow it down to the most essential elements based on customer needs.
