Junior Claims Risk Specialist

**Introduction**
**Role Purpose**
The role incumbment will assist the Claims Risk Specialist with the management and recovery of benefit debt. This includes benefit overpayments and recovery per agreed acknowledgement of debt agreements concluded on behalf of the scheme.
**Requirements**:
**Education**:
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- BCom degree or equivalent accounting B-degree (required)
**Experience**:
- At least 3 years’ experience in an accounting or financial corporate environment
- Experience in Financial Crime Compliance an advantage
**Knowledge**:
- MS Excel (above average ability)
**Skills**:
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (MS-Word, One Drive, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook etc.)
- Accounting
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Assist with the updating of fraud debt reports to the various governance bodies.
- Assist with the collation of documentation submitted for affordability assessments.
- Assist Claims Risk Specialist with the preparation of debt memos following monthly governance meetings.
- Assist with acknowledgement of debt payment tracking and following up on arrears.
- Assist Claims Risk Specialist with the preparation of block pay analysis reports and block pay reversal proposals for consideration by client governance bodies.
- Assist with the implementation of governance committee and client directives.
- Assist with contacting service providers to arrange acknowledgement of debt discussions.
- Other administrative support required by Claims Risk Specialist and the scheme.
- Attend Fraud debt management committee meetings with Claims Risk Specialist and assist with noting and tracking and implementation of deliverables emanating from meeting.
