Team Lead: Technical Support

**Purpose of the Job**:
- To lead a team of technical professionals that are customer focused and effectively manages the system infrastructure, databases and SAP integration platforms including, but not limited to resourcing, input into budgeting, communication and oversight of new initiatives in addition to building effective relationships with customers, service vendors, peers, team members, and senior leadership

**What You'll Have Done Before**:
Baseline:
- Matric / Grade 12
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/ IT
- Min 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Experience in the infrastructure and operations environments essential.
- Solid Microsoft stacks experience
- Best practice - MS - framework / ITIL
- Enterprise content management - Sharepoint, OneDrive, File Shares and Teams
- Mail as a service - exchange online and on-prem including Mimecast
- Application hosting services - VMWare and Linux / Windows
- Data management services - DBs, Azure and file services
- Infrastructure as a service - VMWare and Azure (Compute storage and OS)

- Leading a dynamic Technical Support team.
- Ensuring the efficiency and security of access management across on-premise AD and Azure AD.
- Implementing and optimizing backup and recovery strategies using Immutable storage.
- Staying abreast of evolving Microsoft stacks and best practices.
- Managing enterprise content across diverse platforms, including SharePoint, OneDrive, File Shares, and Teams.
- Overseeing mail services, incorporating exchange online, on-prem, and Mimecast.
- Managing data through various services, including databases, Azure, and file services.
- Implementing and optimizing infrastructure as a service, utilizing VMWare and Azure (Compute storage and OS).
**What you'll be doing**:
- Leading and guiding the Technical Support team.
- Managing desktop services.
- Overseeing access management for on-premise AD and Azure AD.
- Implementing backup and recovery strategies, particularly using Immutable storage.
- Utilizing Microsoft stacks and following best practices in the MS framework/ITIL.
- Managing enterprise content through platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive, File Shares, and Teams.
- Overseeing mail services, including exchange online, on-prem, and Mimecast.
- Managing data through various services, including databases, Azure, and file services.
- Implementing and optimizing infrastructure as a service, utilizing VMWare and Azure (Compute storage and OS).
