About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available within the MiWay Learning and Development team for a seasoned and passionate Secondary Skills Development Facilitator. The success of the position relies on the individual being able to work closely with various stakeholders so as to proactively create, contribute to, and implement resources, tools, and strategies to support the MiWay Skills Development Agenda. The role requires someone who acts as a Skills Development Partner and enabler within MiWay as well as a coach to team members throughout the organization with a strong ability to manage and resolve employee development needs effectively and positively contribute to a vibrant and effective workplace.
What the role entails
- Various skills development deliverables such as completion and submission of the MiWay WSP/ATR, etc.
- The enablement of sound People Practices through Talent Development support and approach and acting as a solutionist in response to various business as well as People Development needs.
- Exercising strong financial control on various funding in collaboration with various stakeholders, to leverage on funding opportunity.
- Ensuring Skills Development governance is adhered to and putting processes as well as mechanisms in place where necessary.
- Leveraging technology to report on various initiatives.
- Other deliverables in line with the needs of the business. Required qualifications and experience
- Matric
- NQF7 Human Resources Qualification AND a completed OD-ETDP NQF 5 or 6 qualification
- Skills Development Facilitatator Certification
- Min 4 years experience Skills development Specialist experience
- Working knowledge of Organizational design and Change Management (advantageous)
- Learning & Development project management experience
- Experience in digital learning solutions
- Proficiency in MS Office Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the accurate and timeous completion and submission of the MiWay Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) to INSETA in line with requirements.
- Conduct bi-annual skills audits and annual training needs analysis with the aim of aligning to the MiWay Learning and Development as well as business objectives
- Facilitate the design and implementation of skills development initiatives in line with the relevant skills development and SAQA legislation.
- Monthly EE report compilation on all skills plans with a quarterly report to the EE panel and other senior leaders
- Manage Learnership, internships, TVET, bursaries and other professional programmes
- Implement and monitor Skills Development projects in line with BBBEE strategy.
- Manage and implement internal/external bursaries / actuarial bursaries and skills programmes in line with INSETA requirements.
- Implement skills development risk management, governance, and compliance policies to identify and manage governance and any potential risks.
- Build effective working relationships and partnerships with institutions of higher learning to support the implementation of skills development programmes and bursaries.
- Identify learning solutions to enhance cost effectiveness and increase operational efficiency.
- Implement and manage financial risk methodologies, techniques and systems and use to monitor and report on financial activities.
- Compile and submit the MiWay skills development and training report for BBBEE reporting (skills spend, learnership, etc).
- Maintain accurate records and supporting evidence database for audit purposes.
- Researched and understand the implications and requirements of the SAQA, NSDS, SDA and SDLA for MIWay.
- Maintane accurate recordkeeping of all training initiatives and training related activities.
- Develop and maintain a skills matrix and skills gaps through defined learning pathways and curricular
- Monitor the grants and levies from the INSETA System monthly for tracking of grants
