**Position Overview**:
The Fuel and Lubricants Sales Specialist for the mining segment is responsible for driving sales, providing technical expertise, and ensuring the delivery of fuel and lubricant solutions tailored to the unique demands of mining operations. This role requires in-depth knowledge of heavy-duty equipment, machinery lubrication requirements, and the operational challenges specific to the mining industry. The specialist will focus on building strong relationships with mining companies, addressing their complex fuel and lubrication needs, and enhancing equipment efficiency, reliability, and lifespan through tailored solutions.

**Key Responsible Areas**:
**1. Industry-Specific Sales Strategy & Business Development**
- **Market Segmentation & Lead Generation**: Identify and target mining companies, contractors, and operators that require specialized fuel and lubrication solutions. Focus on open-pit mining, underground mining, and mineral extraction industries.
- **Tailored Sales Strategy**: Develop and implement sales strategies that address the unique challenges faced by mining operations, such as extreme environmental conditions, heavy load demands, and continuous operation requirements.
- **Revenue Growth**: Achieve and exceed sales quotas by securing new business and expanding existing accounts within the mining sector.
- **Long-Term Account Management**: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in mining companies, such as maintenance managers, operations heads, and procurement officers.

**2. Technical Consultation & Product Expertise in Mining Applications**
- **Deep Product Knowledge**: Maintain comprehensive knowledge of high-performance lubricants, oils, and fuel products specifically designed for heavy-duty mining equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, excavators, drilling rigs, and crushers.
- **Customized Solutions**: Assess each mining operation's specific needs and recommend tailored fuel and lubrication solutions that enhance machinery reliability, reduce downtime, and increase operational efficiency.
- **Lubrication Optimization**: Provide expertise in preventive maintenance programs, oil condition monitoring, and lubricant analysis to help extend the life of mining equipment.
- **Technical Support**: Offer hands-on support and troubleshooting for fuel and lubricant-related issues, working closely with mining engineers and maintenance teams to solve problems.

**3. Understanding Mining Equipment and Operational Challenges**
- **Mining Equipment Expertise**: Have a deep understanding of the types of machinery used in mining operations, the lubrication requirements for different equipment components (e.g., engines, hydraulic systems, gears, bearings), and the specific challenges posed by dust, dirt, extreme loads, and high temperatures.
- **Operational Efficiency & Cost Reduction**: Provide solutions that help mining companies improve fuel efficiency, reduce lubrication-related maintenance costs, and extend the operational life of equipment in harsh working environments.
- **Energy Efficiency & Environmental Impact**: Guide clients in selecting fuels and lubricants that not only optimize performance but also meet environmental regulations, contributing to lower emissions and more sustainable mining operations.

**4. Competitive Market Analysis & Customer Insights**
- **Industry Monitoring**: Stay updated on market trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting the mining sector, including fuel and lubricant innovations designed for heavy-duty equipment.
- **Competitor Benchmarking**: Conduct competitive analysis to understand the positioning of other fuel and lubricant suppliers in the mining segment. Leverage this data to differentiate offerings and provide superior customer value.
- **Client Feedback Loop**: Collect and act on feedback from mining clients regarding product performance, service levels, and emerging needs to refine product offerings and service quality continuously.

**5. Relationship Management & Networking in the Mining Sector**
- **Client Relationship Building**: Develop close, consultative relationships with mining companies, ensuring a deep understanding of their operational goals, challenges, and evolving requirements.
- **Networking in Mining Communities**: Participate in industry-specific events, such as mining expos, conferences, and trade shows, to build a professional network and stay informed of industry shifts.
- **Partnership Development**: Work with key stakeholders in mining operations, such as supply chain heads, technical teams, and external service providers, to create a seamless delivery and support experience.
