Aftersales Regional Sales Manager

**Position Purpose / Objective**
The primary purpose of this role is to provide Technical Sales Support for Aftersales to Customer in the Region through site visits.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
**Customer Relationship**
- Through close collaboration with RSM & Internal Sales personnel, be the face of One ASTEC to our Customers.
- Stay up to date with customer requirements. Ensure that Astec CRM/data base is kept up to date with the latest requirements.
- Agree a meeting cadence with each Customer, keep minutes of these meetings and action items within timelines agreed with the Customer.
- Promptly attend to customer requests and ensure customer is kept up to date with regular feedback.
- Be aware of any SLA and ensure that Astec service delivery meet all requirements contained in the SLA.
**Territory Management**
- Maintain a complete list of all Astec equipment operational in the territory.
- Keep up to date and report on competitor activity.
- Proactively manage equipment maintenance schedules.
**Sales Management**
- Through close collaboration with Internal Sales Personnel
- Analysis’s customers spend versus number of machines in operation in Region.
- Determine which customer spend are to third party suppliers.
- Determine reasons for 3rd party spend.
- Develop and implement strategy to increase customer spend.
- Follow up on outstanding quotations.
- Establish reasons for lost quotations.
- Communicate reasons to Manager and capture on ERP.
- Actively contribute to an increase in quotation conversion rates.
- Be pro-active by continuously developing the sales funnel in order to achieve sales targets.
**General**
- Responsible for maintaining all customer data and matters dealing with the customer relationship on CRM.
- Compliance to administration systems and procedures to support a high level of customer response.
- Promoting all Astec products, particularly new machines for replacement or new projects in the area for RSM to follow up on.
- Ensuring Compliance to QMS standards.
**Minimum Requirements**
- Completed Grade 12.
- A tertiary qualification in sales or a trade would be preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a technical sales capacity.
- Virtual / Video conferencing etiquette.
- Potential to network within local business communities.
- Outgoing nature with proven track record in sales.
- Task driven and Gregarious individual with a passion for customer service. Intermediately Microsoft Office and CRM.
- An affinity for spare parts related to mechanical equipment.
- Good understanding of costing and pricing.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of products that will supplement customer orders (on-selling).
- Very organized, methodical with a high level of attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license.
- A team player who is proactive and crucially has a can-do attitude with a drive to succeed.
- Ability to work own initiative and organize own workload as well as working as part of a team.
