Position**:Bookkeeper/Property Manager**
**Duties and responsibilities**:
Property management functions:
- From lease agreement to occupation and beyond:
- Administering new lease agreements in conjunction with attorney
- Keeping lease agreements up to date and administer renewals
- Deposits
- Tenant take-on
- Management of complaints received from tenants in terms of lease agreements in place
- Driving and completing projects in terms of maintenance or complete renovation of properties
- Insurance claims administration on properties
- Clearance certificates for properties
- Budgets
- Physical visits to sites to do inspections and provide relevant feedback
- On-boarding and capturing residential tenants’ payments on TPN Credit Bureau
- Advertising and marketing empty properties on various media
- Negotiations with estate agents for placements of tenants where applicable
- Utilities - driving and completing projects with regards to existing buildings (renewable energy)
Bookkeeping functions:
- Bookkeeping up to trial balance - Pastel Partner accounts package
- Invoicing off source documentation e.g - lease agreements, rent rolls, web portal, etc.
- Debt collecting - strenuous collection and reporting on outstanding balances
- Creditors
- VAT returns
- Reporting on intercompany loan values
- Drawing management accounts from Pastel and reporting to owner
**Qualification and Experience Requirements**:
- A diploma, certificate or degree in accounting or bookkeeping, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping and property management
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Affinity for using technology and software that increases automation and efficiency of work.
The position in based in the office.
**Location**: Stellenbosch
**Salary**: R22 000-R28 000
**Starting date**: As soon as possible.
