**Minimum requirement**
- Matric.
- 10 years' experience working with both gravure and flexographic printing is a MUST.
- Management experience is essential.

**Responsibilities**

**Daily Management**
- Compile daily production reports and share them with senior management.
- Liaise with stores and distribution regarding production planning and manage production parameters (waste, overtime, people resources, etc.).
- Management of Production Teams (training, coaching, and performance management).
- Manage the Ink Technicians. Ensure that they are completing blend sheets and that drawdowns are brought to you or the Supervisor on shift for sign-off on the correct substrate before the ink is loaded into the pumps and trays.
- Train Operators to ensure quick changeover times, maximum output, and reduced waste.
- Monitor timekeeping.
- Liaise with supervisors’ quality department and operators and teach them better ways and guide them if they are unsure.
- Assist with cost saving.
- Attend daily production meetings.
- Attend weekly maintenance meetings.
- Correspond daily with the maintenance team and follow up on job cards.
- You will be given full support to employ people in positions you feel are not adequately fulfilled.

**Communication**
- Communicate with Production Supervisors during shifts and assist with issues experienced.
- Troubleshoot all the technical issues being experienced in the factory.
- Once an issue, problem, fault, or waste issue has been identified, drill down to the root cause, then put in appropriate measures to prevent it from happening in the future (i.e., train, put up signs, liaise with the maintenance team, etc).

**Quality**
- Ensure good quality finished products are ready on time.
- Check NCRs and communicate with the team regarding improvements.
- Ensure housekeeping meets 5s requirements.
- Perform periodic inspections to ensure the quality of all production meets the standard.
- Reduce overall waste generated throughout the factory.
- Implement any systems that are required to reduce waste and correct printing issues.
- Ensure that quality is not compromised.
- Insist that paperwork is completed and that rules are followed.
- Partnering effectively with the Quality team to ensure mínimal customer complaints and returns.
- Sign off customer spec sheet (printing material, lamination material, end use, and sealing temperature).
