Role Headline

To ensure proper Closing and Controlling activities as per SFRG. To timeously report, prepare and analyse reports within DI. Calculation of the Management incentives and Sales incentives as well as various ad hoc reporting to the Divisional Management would be required. The role further includes monitoring of all common function costs within DI, as well as the tracking of productivity and reporting thereof into the OPW tool. To work closely with the DI Management team and reports directly to the DI Head of Finance South Africa

Responsibilities of the Role

Ensures coherence with superior Controlling standards, policies, and procedures, adopts respective processes by ensuring:

- Financial Reporting, Integrity, and effective Risk Management & Internal Control Systems
- Effective Business Administration, Controlling and Financial Planning
- Efficient Capital, Financing and Tax Management
- Ensures planning, monitoring and reviews of unit's budget, and provides and comments Actual vs. Plan reports.
- Monitors financial performance, provides KPI analyses, and prepares and comments respective performance reporting and forecasts.
- Ensures proper revenue and cost controlling, and design and maintenance of underlying cost account systems.
- Analyses, prepares, approves, and reviews units´ investments and expenditures, and provides respective reporting by acting:

- As Investors Advocate by protecting the Assets and driving sustainable Value Creation
- As trusted partner of the Country DI Head and Country DI Head of Finance and the local and global management team
- Oversees the day-to-day controlling and financial analysis operations.
- Leads the organization assigned.
- Manages and leads a team of specialized Controlling Professionals and support staff, in different organizational settings.
- In addition to the Controlling Manager function the incumbent will be responsible for the Business Administration Manager function within the CS Team, these include the following duties:

- Contributes to definition, and ensures implementation of superior financial strategy, policies and guidelines.
- Supports the Business Unit Head, provides advice and proposes measures regarding Finance / Business Administration.
- Ensures effective financial analysis and planning/controlling of all business administration activities (including annual budgeting and monthly forecasting)
- Develops and implements financial and business administration policies, standards and procedures, for the assigned organization unit.
- Ensures effective financial analysis, planning and controlling activities, and all related business administration activities.
- Oversees and ensures completion of all accounting, financial statements and reporting, and other finance related operations.
- Takes decisions on treasury management
- Ensures compliant and standardized contract management, in all relevant business cases (supplier, customer, service providers)
- Collaborates in the preparation of complex bids or tenders for project business.
- Leads the organization assigned.
- Manages the assigned Finance / Business Administration organization.
- Manages or contributes to ongoing optimization processes to ensure rationalization potential and to optimize productivity.
- May coordinate risk and internal control management (incl. ERM, internal regulations)
- Oversees and ensures effective implementation of financial and business administration policies, standards and procedures including internal controls (e.g., RIC, NCC, Resource Utilization)

Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant BCom or equivalent qualification
- SAP Experience - Advance
- Proficient in writing / speaking in the English language.
- At least 8 years commercial experience in a variety of functions with different BU’s and /or Corporate Functions e.g., controlling, project management, sales commercial.
- Exposure to variety of business (project/product/services) and cycles (start-up, growth, mature and decline) Exposure to Customer Services Portfolios and service offerings (e.g., Spares Parts Business, Long Term Service Contracts, Asset Optimisation Services, Repair Services, Field and Maintenance Services) - Advantageous
