Senior HR Business Partner Talent Sourcing

A **Senior HR Business Partner | Talent Sourcing **vacancy is currently open in the **Human Resources **team of our client, a large, international Law firm based in **Johannesburg, **reporting to the Human Resources Executive.
This position will own a portfolio of activity including supporting the Senior HR Business Partners with recruitment and resourcing solutions which best deliver to their client needs. The successful applicant will be responsible to collaborate with Senior HR Business Partners to design and develop effective industry specific recruitment strategies, lead targeted recruitment initiatives, implement best practices and provide end to end recruitment for highly specialised and critical roles. This includes, but is not limited to, the following key duties and responsibilities:
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:
**Commercial awareness and strategic partnering**:
- Translating the business strategy into a talent sourcing and attraction strategy to support workforce planning;
- Developing and providing recruitment analytics to support the business in its recruitment efforts
- Identifying capability gaps and define talent pools in collaboration with the Senior HR Business Partners;
- Developing and managing an external network of service providers and build relationships with the appropriate associations / bodies to shape the external brand perception and attract the best talent to the firm;
- Building strong networking relationships to create and develop talent pipelines for key roles.
**Sourcing suitable applicants by pro-actively searching, advertising screening and shortlisting**:
- Placing adverts and updating all applicable job boards and social media platforms, including LinkedIn;
- Determining selection criteria by liaising with the Senior HR Business Partners;
- Sourcing applicants through various channels including briefing head-hunter’s / recruitment agencies, where applicable on sourcing needs and requirements;
- Conducting telephonic, virtual or face-to-face screening interviews;
- Closing job adverts timeously;
- Managing the response handling on the firm’s social media platforms, website and recruitment system;
**Recruitment administration and reporting**:
- Overseeing integrity and reference checks;
- Maintaining impeccable record keeping of interview notes and related documentation to share with the Senior HR Business Partners;
- Developing job descriptions and interview guides with the input of the Senior HR Business Partners;
- Provide input to the HR Executive to update the firm’s recruitment policies and procedures from time to time;
- Tracking goals, metrics and performance of recruiting goals and deliver weekly reports on recruitment progress;
- Managing the service provider database and ensure the updating of SLA’s where required;
- Monitoring the recruitment budgets across the practitioner and services portfolios.
**EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
- Relevant HR degree/post graduate qualification is required
- Post graduate Studies in HR would be advantageous
- At least 6-8 years’ experience specialising in recruitment of professional hires, with proven track record of recruiting for scarce skills and senior roles within the legal or professional services industry
- Headhunting or targeted search experience
- Extensive experience regarding modern sourcing/searching techniques, online recruitment portals and programmes and applicant tracking systems
- Knowledge of the relevant South African employment legislation
**KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to juggle priorities and understand the urgency of all tasks, and completing such tasks without sacrificing quality or compromising on standards
- Ability to work under pressure and deal with difficult customers
- Ability to be assertive and tactful
- Ability to sort and make sense of large amounts of data
- Ability to come up with new ideas and have a commitment to solving problems
- Have a flexible approach to an ever-changing environment and last minute variations/inputs
- Have strong administration skills and organisational skills
- Very strong focus on communicating and working with team
- An eye for detail and desire to improve standards and deliver excellence
- Ability to adapt to the firm’s culture and alignment to the firm’s vision and values
- Willingness and ability to work overtime whenever necessary to ensure the successful completion of a project / task when needs arise
