An exciting opportunity has arisen for a forward-thinking General Counsel to join a global leading power producer company. This is a London based role with some international travel.

**Responsibilities**:

- You will provide support to the group on all aspects of power projects, project finance and M&A/ Joint ventures
- Responsible for acting as the key principal leader and regulatory advisor to the wider legal and CEO
- You will the main adviser to the CEO and management team on matters such as corporate governance and risk management
- You will take the lead on matters such as; corporate ethics and the compliance programme
- You will be responsible for the management, development and providing support to the wider legal team

**We are looking for**:

- Qualified solicitor in E&W (or other relevant jurisdiction), with experience in private practice or in-house

and fluent in English both oral and written
- Significant PQE in project finance and corporate matters
- Previous track record of extensive management of senior stakeholders and working in a large team in a multination corporation
- You must have international cross border experience particularly with developing countries and the power sector as well has being highly experienced in drafting and negotiating contracts within this sector
