Inventory Supervisor

**Business Overview**

This is a busy, fast paced operation which offers many challenges and opportunities for the right person. This position is based at Boksburg, Gauteng.

**Role Outline**

To maintain stock integrity within the warehouse and reconcile all stock differences. Ensure customer service is of the highest standard and that losses to the company are kept to a minimum. Continuously review all inventory functions for operational efficiency.

**General Accountabilities**

Control and co-ordinate PI program within the warehouse. These include all put-a-ways checked for correct placement. Empty/part fill locations counted on a daily basis so as to cover the warehouse at least once a week. Reserve rack locations counted daily as per plan so as to ensure that the warehouse is counted at least once a month. Pick faces counted daily.

Monitor daily/weekly/monthly the level of short picks and short ships and take corrective action.

Plan, co-ordinate and supervise monthly stock counts.

Reconcile stock write-offs to all 999 write off locations on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

Investigate daily stock discrepancies and maintain stock integrity through process of adjustments following authority levels.

Record and file all stock adjustments.

Plan and carry out a client stock age once a month and report in format agreed with the client.

Identify stock quality issues whether be packing, expiry date or pack set-up etc. Report and resolve appropriately with the client.

Investigate, give feedback and resolve appropriately all stock quality issues as identified by the client

Independently check and reconcile all receipts as to stock received per tally sheet and receiving document. Check input captured as to pack, quantity, production/expiry date.

Utilize warehouse management systems effectively to support the above tasks

Ensure all equipment used during the course of daily duties is handled correctly and to report any defects to the Section Manager

When conducting duties, follow standard operating procedures and safe working practices

Be accountable for each and every movement of the products pallets to minimize loose or damage of the products.

Ensure stock accuracy and integrity of locations

To rely on systems and physical view of the product to ensure that stock / pallets within the warehouse is data driven

To ensure all procedures of minimizing stock loss and locating stock in the warehouse is fulfilled

Ensure all equipment used during the course of daily duties is handled correctly and to report any defects to the Section Manager

**Qualifications**

Matric / Grade 12 Certificate

2-3 Years work experience in Logistics

Tertiary qualification (Advantageous), RPL will also be considered

**Skills/Competencies/Experiences**

Computer literacy

Communication skills

Ability to work within a rapidly changing environment

Deadline driven

Good written and communication skills

Experience in working in the inventory department essential

Enforcement of Health & Safety procedures and identify hazards

Achieve work targets and is willing to take on additional roles / responsibilities

Ability to work under pressure

Very systematic and thorough

Thorough knowledge and a proven track record of investigations of stock issues to resolution is essential

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
