**The Mathematician’s main focus will be on the following**:

- Estimates the cost and timeline of high complexity projects
- Performs and reviews mathematical analyses and testing of high complexity projects
- Contributes to Departmental policies and procedures to ensure that current methodology is up to modern standards
- Interfaces with clients, regulators, and non-technical groups within the Company regarding mathematical testing results and technical concepts
- Communicates with clients regarding project management details, such as designing and developing the scope of testing, acquiring/confirming missing or discrepant information, etc.
- Assists with training members of the Department in all core areas
- Performs other duties, as assigned

**Experience, Education, Skills and Credentials**:
Certification, formal training, experience or demonstrated competency may be evaluated and considered in lieu of the experience requirements
- Moderate to Advanced programming knowledge in C++, Java, Python, or other modern programming language(s) is required
- Extensive knowledge of advanced mathematical concepts and topics is required
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have a high level of initiative with the ability to train and motivate others
- Must have a strong ability to work independently or in a team setting
- Must have the ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of this position
- Must have the ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, with internal and external parties
- Must have the ability to handle and organize multiple projects and deadlines
- Must demonstrate a high degree of attention to quality, details, and correctness
