**HR Business Partner - Cape Town**

The main responsibility of our new team member will be to support and advise our managers over two sites, Cape Town and Johannesburg. A hands-on role that will require you to have strong relationship building skills, the ability to develop and implement strategies for attracting, retaining, motivating and managing talented individuals whilst maintaining a passion for HR and employee relations.

**Responsibilities**:
**The day in the life if our HR Business Partner**
- Work with senior leaders to develop and implement an HR Strategy that supports the business objectives.
- Strategic planning, developing supportive HR and organizational strategies, analysing talent requirements, recruiting, and onboarding.
- Assess strategic change management options based on the HR policies, programs, and employment laws as to come up with the best business solution.
- Proactively build strong relationships / partnerships with Regional / Country Directors and other senior managers to help them think through and resolve complex employee relations issues, including employee performance as needed.
- Under the direction of Senior Management and Global HR Business Partners, assist in roll-out, communicate, train, and troubleshoot new and ongoing HR initiatives in a positive and proactive manner, helping to increase local understanding and assimilation.
- Proactively developing local Line Managers by providing standards, guidance, and development with the aim of having a competent Leadership Team.
- As well as day to day HR you will get the opportunity to work on projects. These projects have a broad scope and are constantly changing. Current examples are talent and training management, setting up a new HR intranet portal, implementing a new HR information system and supervising new works council elections.
- Another bonus would be if you have previous experienced working in either a global or matrixed organisation, as this will enable you to quickly come to understand our complex set-up.
- Finally, as you will know, HR is a challenging yet rewarding division to work within an organization, so an open positive mind-set, a work hard attitude and a sense of humour would all fit very well.

Qualifications:
**What we would like to see on your resume **
- Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with years of relevant experience in positions of increasing responsibility
- Proven ability to serve as a trusted advisor, providing business leaders with professional, accurate, and timely support; able to diagnose complex employment and organizational matters and develop relevant and balanced solutions.
- Proven ability to manage complex and highly confidential investigations into employee relations issues including harassment, sexual harassment, and abuse.
- Proven ability to help managers deal with difficult performance-based issues and exit problematic employees from the organization.
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of HR labour laws (concepts if not actual) and compliance issues).
- We would like excellent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
