Project Office: Projects Administrator Assistant

We are looking to employ an efficient, highly organised person to fill this Paarl-based position as Projects Administrator in our Engineering Projects Office.
- Grade 12, minimum qualification
- A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. business administration, would be an advantage
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Prior work experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment would be an advantage
- Comfortable to work in a production environment
- Must have the ability to work independently
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Very strong verbal and written communication skills, English and Afrikaans
- Some technical writing experience would be an advantage
- Highly organised and flexible
- Good computer skills; MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, ERP system
- Team Player
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Strong administrative skills
- Time-management skills, and the ability to work well in high-pressure environments
The primary tasks include:
- Compile Owners Manuals for all projects - technical writing
- Check payment of invoices for all projects, where necessary follow up with clients
- Open customer orders
- Open engineering files for the projects
- Create Installation files
- Generate safety files
- Compile Department Services Report & Engineer Lines report
- Provide general project management admin assistance for the project team
- Prep for the Priority meetings - Prepare the Excel documents with feedback from all departments
- Generate weekly spares shelf BOMS
- Populate machine shop report for priority planning.
- Capture daily BOM issue data on Open Works order report
- Generate job cards for assembly shelves
- Sort out general queries regarding lead times of priorities (From all departments)
- Prepare new priority bays for the weekly change over
