**Job Characteristics**: Manage inventory and achieve required inventory levels at the defined inventory component level across network stocking locations to meet customer service levels. Builds & maintains clear communication & cooperation with demand planning, sales, and customer service to the manufacturing operations to address supply and resolve customer service issues.

**Duties**:

- New Product Introduction - review new product design for manufacturing ease and determine potential sourcing. Coordinate plant test schedules and with the divisions support launch strategies and timing.
- Product Transfers - coordinate product sourcing changes with the divisions, R&D and the plants to minimize downstream issues with quality, service and costs.
- Sales Forecasts - respond to changes in sales forecasts and new marketing strategies.
- Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.

- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities.
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- SKU Rationalization -support product rationalization opportunities and coordinates with the plants the implementation of rationalization decisions.
- Inventory DOH - review inventory DOH and costs with divisions to assess areas for improvement. Control inventories to agreed parameters.
- Optimize Operations sourcing through conducting product sourcing analyses and determining optimal supply chains. Initiate and implement Total Quality Improvement projects.
- Monitor the backorder reports of the network locations on a daily basis. Prevent potential backorders by rerouting stock. Investigate and resolve existing backorders.
- Consolidate and control Manufacturing Planning Key Performance Indicator data (e.g. inventory, service) to assess divisional performance.
- Monitors service delivery to ensure customer satisfaction and project delivery to ensure benefits are realized.
- Assessing the financial structure and inventory storage capabilities of the business.
- Counting and tracking inventory across multiple locations.
- Anticipating stock demands based on current and future business functions.
- Analyzing and anticipating market trends for the best time to purchase inventory.
- Creating inventory reports and presenting suggestions to the Supply Chain Manager.
- Ensuring the business has a steady flow of stock without overcapitalizing on materials.
- Suggesting changes to inventory warehousing to meet increased or reduced demand.
