- Join us as a Protection Services Manager Operations where you will be accountable to the Senior Protection Services Manager for all issues relating to the management and optimisation of protection services for the Group. The role needs to initiate appropriate strategies, policies and systems within the Operation to minimize risks relating to the security of employees and assets.

**Job Description**:

- Your responsibilities will also include:

- Overall Management of the Protection Services in the operation to achieve targets including expert advice and the implementation of best practice systems
- Direct, plan and coordinated work for the Protection Services team through effective liaison with Operation Management and the Head of Protection Services
- Monitoring and Advising on Protection Services Equipment, techniques, and methodologies to support business initiatives
- Liaise effectively with expert support to ensure that management is aware of Regional or National issues that could impact on the security risk of the operation
- Develop a trusting and mutually respectful relationship with internal and external service suppliers
- Identify potential conflict situations and minimize the implications
- Fairly manage cultural diversity
- Responsible for structuring Protection Services for the operation
- Design and implement security policies and procedures required by the operation which are aligned to AAP Policy
- Manage financial budgeting and planning processes to organizations guidelines for the Protection Services department
- Ensure that effective security systems are in place to protect cash, bullion, explosives, valuable material, and assets
- Ensure the preservation and security of departmental records and statistics
- Support the operations management team to achieve improved performance
- Support the development of business plans and strategies for the operation

**This role is in the Protection Services department on a band 6 and reporting to the **Senior Protection Services Manager.**

**Qualifications
- You will be required to have the following**:

- Grade 12
- Bachelor’s degree/National Diploma/ B Tech Security Management Degree or equivalent related to Protection Services (RPL can be applied to recognize skills obtained through short courses and experience)
- Applicable firearm Unit Standard qualifications
- Armed response qualification
- Tactical Qualification
- SAPS firearm competency
- Registered with PSIRA Grade A
- Valid driver’s license

**Experience required**:

- Minimum 10 Years’ experience in Security or equivalent environment with exposure in Investigation / Crime Information analysis / Information gathering and Surveillance
- 5 Years’ experience in security management

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Computer Literacy (MS Office package)
- Knowledge of security related legislation / policies / procedures / standards
- Knowledge in Investigating / Information gathering / Logistics and Surveillance
- Excellent Communications and interpersonal Skills
- Financial Management Skills
- Resource Management skills
- Pass polygraph test
- Medical Fitness Certificate
