JOB OBJECTIVE:
Assist the Warehouse Manager in maintaining the smooth operation of a fastmoving environment. Responsible for the day-to-day management of people within the dispatch function, to ensure company's targets and objectives are met to meet customer requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Maintain oversight to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure orders are processed promptly and accurately.
- Meet customer delivery timelines and requirements effectively.
- Maintain internal delivery processes to support dispatch time windows.
- Oversee order picking and goods in/goods out operations.
- Minimize errors, handling, and stock damage.
- Strategize the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.
- Educate and enforce safety practices among team members.
- Facilitate regular stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Enforce company procedures and standards.
- Drive the implementation of quality processes.
- Lead follow-up and resolution of customer concerns.
- Implement robust countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
- Identify root causes of errors and implement corrective actions.
- Sustain corrective measures to prevent repeat issues.
- Deliver efficiencies to support operational budget reduction goals.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives with the Warehouse Manager.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to implement best practices.
- Ensure alignment with warehouse and management systems.
- Review and refine operational methods for qualitative and quantitative improvements.
- Maintain high levels of customer service.
- Ensure the security of the warehouse environment.
- Maintain access control and 5S housekeeping standards.
- Oversee the management of supplier return packaging.
- Ensure proper maintenance of facility equipment.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Train, guide, and evaluate new dispatch employees.
- Perform additional duties as required to support warehouse operations.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Matric is essential
- A Diploma in Logistics Management or equivalent will be advantageous
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven experience in Warehouse planning, Stock Control, Dispatching and Receiving
- Sound knowledge of Health and Safety practices and principles
- Great leadership skills
- Great verbal and written communication skills
- Great interpersonal and customer relations skills
- Great problem-solving and time management skills
- Willingness to work in a highly pressurised environment
