**Role Description**

Responsibilities will further include the management of the academic staff, curriculum development and implementation, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System for the Department.

**Job Specification**- Responsible for the effective co-ordination and implementation of all HR operational processes in conjunction with the HR division. This includes recruitment, selection, development and evaluation of academic staff in the Department, and managing the departmental budget.- Identify new qualifications, design the curriculum and manage the development of training material and assessments.- Manage the qualification schedule and ensure quality online facilitation and student support are provided.- Responsible for the development, improvement and implementation of learning and teaching policies and procedures to ensure high quality of teaching resources suitable for the online learning environment.- Ensure accurate and secure record-keeping and manage the optimisation of the through-flow rate of students and develop action plans when necessary.-
- Implementation and maintenance of accreditation with various quality assurance bodies and professional bodies.

**Knowledge and Skills required**- Knowledge of the Education environment, Higher Education policies, and requirements for accreditation with various stakeholders- Knowledge of Learner Management Systems (E.g. Moodle)- Principles, processes and strategies for curriculum and programme design and development (instructional design)- Principles, processes and strategies for development and moderation of effective assessment instruments incorporating Bloom’s taxonomy- Principles and processes for effective online teaching and learning- Principles, processes, and tools for creating effective online and e-learning content (E.g. I Spring, Articular)- Quality Management Systems- Subject matter expertise in Commerce and Management- Leadership, planning, co-ordination, project management, reporting and record-keeping skills.- Student support and relationship management, effective and disciplined self-management, problem solving and creativity, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.

**Qualifications**- Master’s degree in Commerce and Management (PhD preferable)- CIMA/ SAICA Membership preferable- Senior Management Development Programme

**Experience**- 5 years’ working experience in a Financial, Commerce, and/or Management environment- 5 years’ management and/or lecturing experience in a Higher Education environment- Cover letter (please outline your interest and how you will be a good fit for this position)- Curriculum Vitae- Proof of Qualifications and Professional Body membership- Salary expectations- Notice period
