Job Purpose

Key Performance Areas
- Develop and maintain best practice reward and recognition programmes for the organization that enhance the organisation’s employee value proposition (EVP).

Responsible for effective and efficient implementation of reward and recognition programmes, practices and initiatives
- Design and execute innovative reward solutions and strategies through creative input combined with data analysis and a deep understanding of the organisation’s current and future challenges (recognition programs, incentive plans, market positions, salary range, design, and pay mix analysis);
- Design and implement total rewards policy and practices to ensure that programs are current, competitive and in compliance with legal requirements;
- Design and implement retention plans/ schemes;
- Perform total rewards analysis in line with company relevant sector guidelines and principles (including data submission, data extraction and analysis, reporting and recommendation presentation);
- Responsible for compilation of job descriptions and the maintenance thereof;
- Custodian for the job evaluation processes within the organisation;
- Lead and be actively involved in the deployment of the grading system;
- Educate business leaders, and human capital practitioners on total rewards;
- Performance of market surveys and research in relevant sectors, and preparation of schedules and reports for the company Remuneration Committee as required;
- Closely cooperate and manage the relationship with the external remuneration consulting firms;
- Stay informed of latest reward trends and technological developments, continuous upskilling of own and team’s professional knowledge and competence;
- Governance and oversight responsibilities for retirement funds and medical aid.
- Build and maintain positive and value-adding relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide strategic support and guidance to internal stakeholders on total rewards matters in order to ensure alignment.
- Scan the environment to ensure a clear understanding of stakeholder needs.
- Communicate the total rewards framework to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure understanding of these by all relevant stakeholders.
- Cascade the BU BSC at team level.
- Implement the activities outlined on the BU People Plan.
- Manage team performance to drive productivity.
- Motivate, coach and mentor staff to ensure maximum productivity and development of the staff to their full potential.
- Provide leadership and direction to the team.
- Determine the mix and level of capability required to enable the team to support BU and organisational objectives.
- Contribute to transformation/culture plans.

**Requirements/Qualifications**:
This position requires a relevant Bachelors’ degree in HR management/commercial or other relevant field

The incumbent is required to have a minimum of 8 years’ experience (post qualification) in a senior capacity in compensation and benefits, preferably in the financial services sector

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R85,000.00 - R95,000.00 per month
