RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive profitability and operational efficiencies within the various operations, and achieve industry best practise
- Develop the annual operations budgets and manage expenditure within these budgets.
- Optimize efficiencies and utilization of assets nationally with the objective of minimizing the cost per unit and maximising profitability and growth, and manage all operations against KPI’s to drive efficiencies.
- Oversee the effective management of the operational business unit
- Maximise service levels to principals & customers through continuously improving service level standards
- Ensure sound risk management practices are adhered to at all regions - Responsible for the short-, medium
- and long-term planning for the business units under the incumbents control including operations, finance, administration, marketing, H&S, IT requirements and profitability. - Developing, establishing, securing, and maintaining business opportunities for the BU.
- Participate in the strategic decision making processes of the organization as a member of the senior management team
- Develop and maintain an appropriate operations organizational structure that supports the strategy and meets the changing / evolving needs of the organisation
- Manages and develops strategic relationships with principles and customers.
- Guide the team to ensure that all legislative standards are achieved, and timeous action is taken where required to ensure that there are no areas of noncompliance.
- Implements and encourages cost cutting initiatives within the team where these do not impact on long term business sustainability.
- Lead the sales team towards meeting strategy and targets - through regular communication and utilization of full organizational talent management tool set.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree or diploma in Business Management or equivalent qualification
- Valid Code EB drivers' licence
- A minimum of 8-10 years leading in a Retail, ICT environment

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Century City, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
